Actually, hes pretty good. Sure, his size helps out a lot but he has proven himself vs Tszyu, Lubin and Garcia. Heck, the Mendoza KO was a come from behind victory. Medoza was down on the card bad. IMO, Fundora would have lost to the first 3 guys I mentioned, if he actually was bad. Hes a decent guy who is aided heavily by his size. You could throw Fundora in with the entirety if the current top 10 at 154 and the end results would be 50/50. *Abolish the division! It´s crap.
This. I just can't see any other outcome than this. Spence has been through two car wrecks (three if you count the Crawford fight) and had major surgeries to correct his cataracts and repair his retina. Throw into the mix the fact the someone finally convinced or taught Fundora how to use his ludicrously ginormous reach advantage in his last fight and that Spence is without his longtime trainer and you have a perfect storm.
If it's anywhere close to being as great of a fight as Spence vs Porter or Fundora vs Lubin then this might be another FOTY candidate. Can’t wait.
Spence’s career unfolding is like a young runway model who got addicted to crack and is now a toothless old hag turning tricks for a nickel.
I think Spence is finished. Even if he wins this fight he will take a ton of damage. It's over for him. I hope this isn't because he needs the money.
Everyone alrdy knows theyre your fav fighters. Theyre aligned w PBC who has famously targeted a specific audience that appeals to you. You are a fanboy of a promotion not a fight fan - theres a difference.
It's very hard to know what spence has left. We need two or three terrible performances to know if he is a shadow if himself. How does the Crawford fight show us if he is that bad? Crawford is still my p4p number 1
Spence just looked like a walking corpse and was utterly ragdolled by Crawford. Fundora while maybe not all that impressive, just took 10 rounds off of a far more game and dangerous Tim Tszyu, who would walk through Spence with relative ease. Because he's just too goddamned big, strong and long for most normal sized fighters to deal with, including Spence. So with both men being southpaws, I don't see it going any other way than an even more one sided rerun of his win over Lubin.
I respect Spence for holding more than 7 rounds against Bud. Now he can win that fight and retire as a champion. Fundora has all the time to be active and fight other top guys.
