    He has an excellent chin.
But everyone can be hurt and KO'd, it's just biological reality.
And he's not a big HW.
I remember everyone here claiming Joyce was a 'juggernaut' who couldn't be hurt. Then Zhang KO'd him easily with a great shot.

It's well known Fury isn't a KO-artist, which is why his trainer is such a fraud. His trainer actually claimed he'd turned him into one after the second Wilder fight. Ironically that fight demonstrated he'd done nothing much to change Fury's power since Fury landed for 7 rounds and still couldn't stop Wilder conclusively, it was an attrition stoppage not much different to others where Fury wasn't even going for it (Hammer/Chisora II).

But Fury still has respectable power and can KO people if he lands enough. So it's not like Usyk could just take Fury's shots all night.

The first KD on Ngannou wasn't a particular hard Right hand to be fair.
Usyk eats a huge counter by AJ, that was also a counter punch, as Usyk was going forward, and Usyk took that shot perfectly well.

He was dropped Twice by Beterbiev in 2 of their 3 fights. And funnily enough he won both of this fights. He was dropped by a redirect punch, that landed low in WSB as well.
Beterbiev also was taken a point away, as both of the time the shot landed in the kidney area, which is illegal both amateurs/pro.

But Beterbiev is the P4P the biggest puncher, maybe even in the history of this sport. And Usyk just took a knee, and then get up straight away.

How often does he get caught flush though? He's highly energetic, constantly bebopping around the ring, usually leaning with the punches he gets caught with which saps the power of the punch, or, due to his exceptional awareness, he anticipates what's coming in so he can brace himself.

I thought Fury hurt Usyk more than AJ did due to Fury's unorthodox style of punching which was catching Usyk unaware at times. As you pointed out, in no way is Fury a harder puncher than AJ as was proved in the Ngannou fight.

How does Usyk's chin hold up against these fighter's power? In no particular order; Wlad, Wilder, Lewis, Tua and Shavers. Not that great I would imagine.

A Chin is the most important attribute for a Boxer to have. You can only go as far as your Chin will take you.

TBF some fighters perfected the art of protecting their chin and landing their own punches. Wladimir Klitschko and Amir Khan spring to mind.

These idiots still don’t understand that defense has nothing to do with a Chin. None. Iron Chin fighters don’t need any defense because their Iron Chin is their first line of defense. ‘Bad defense’ is only an excuse fanboys of Glass Jawed fighters use.

Khan had one of the most Fragile Glass Jaws in modern times. It was paper mache level.

Yup, so he developed a style which was based on not getting hit. Wlad did the same with the help of the late Emanuel Steward.

He’s been buzzed a few times by head punches. Off memory he was stunned by overhand rights from Gassiev and Joshua (2nd fight) and Fury’s uppercut. What makes it really hard to put him down is that he’s great at avoiding the follow-up attack. I can’t think of him ever being hit cleanly by a rapid succession of punches to the head.

I rank Julian Jackson as higher P4P than Beterbiev in terms of punching power but if AB moved up to CW it would answer (and confirm) alot of questions I have

I would like to see Beterbiev against Bredis or Jai Opatei and have him to win.

    Flush shots would KO him

    Usyk isn't a big HW

He has a normal sized head. His shoulders aren't wide and his hands and wrists aren't massive either.

Genetically speaking he is not a HW. He is "just" a tall and athletic man with good power but amazing footwork and ring IQ. His power is enough to keep you honest and hurt you.

Someone with the pedigree of Lennox Lewis would eventually get through.

If Tua landed flush he would KO Usyk but more than likely be schooled 120-108 and be hitting air all night long.

Nah, if somebody like Wlad were to land clean on Usyk's head with a power shot I suspect that Usyk would go down, but he would get back up. I doubt that Wlad would ever land though. Usyk would KO Wlad inside 6 rounds.

Eh Beterbiev is 40 years old, and now with a terrible injury. I don't see him hang them for much longer. Undisputed with Bivol, maybe rematch and that's it.
He ain't 30 to chase other weight classes. Have in mind he spend his whole Pro career in there.
