I'd have no problem with them making all cards available on PPV, and if there were enough of them at that level then of course it'd be worth subscribing but at least it'd be a choice. Will toss a coin and decide whether to bother after the weigh-in!
Has someone hit you on the head using the dreaded words 'Box Office' for a Jack Catterall fight? The forum men in white coats are hovering around your username. Get down to your local bar and watch it.
The problem, as always, is my son watching. Nowhere round here that will have the fight on, will let him in. We shall continue to debate or I might introduce him to the joys of radio!
Hi all , quick one - if I pay the one month price (£25 or so) and cancel immediately after - will I get stung for next month ? The 30 day notice thing is bugging me cheers
DAZN has changed its cancellation method, you have to get through to chat with someone so it might not work today... just warning.
The Tv channel is closing on Sky on 7th July, now their slow laggy app is on Sky boxes. Bit gutted. I’ve essentially had the channel for free for a year even after they randomly cancelled my annual sub and had no record of my payment, and my bank recovered the payment. Oh well.
Sensational news on the back of a huge percentage increase in subscription a few weeks ago. Did you get an email from them indicating this is happening?
Yep, was the only reason I stopped Shoppying and signed up to an annual sub in the first place, the ease of being able to record and watch the fights whenever without the faff of trawling through the app, hoping it had remembered where I’d got to and then chromecast it. Apparently I’m still on the mailing list of people who have the TV channel, even if there’s no record of me ever having a sub!
I thought the DAZN UK presence on Sky 15 months ago was the start of better days for boxing fans but it has been a huge disappointment.
TV channels cost a fortune to maintain so you can imagine this is an easy choice - last time I was involved in TV stuff it was about £300-350k to get channel numbers, EPG access, etc. All TV will be apps and IP delivery by 2035-2040 very latest, so hopefully they all figure out reducing lag by then...
Everything about DAZN screams incompetence. It's mind-boggling how they've managed to alienate most boxing fans and gain such a bad reputation.
