Taylor is the best fighter here, and it doesnt matter if he wins or loses. He should not have taken this fight at 140, though. He will be a walking dead. Anyway, I think that caterall was lucky in their first fight and that the best fighter will win this one without controversy, even if he is a walking dead. Taylor
Josh does look good on the scales - MUCH better than last 2 fights, looks like he has put the work in in the gym! Remains to be seen whether he can carry the legs and stamina into the champ rounds though. Unless JT finds some of his old fire and form it's going to be a decision for El Gato - think his style is bad for Taylor
Watching the first fight live after a few beers, but not scoring it round by round, I remember thinking Catterall won quite clearly and I've kind of bought into the 'robbery' theory ever since. Just rewatched it sober, and without the Sky commentary, and scored it 113 - 113.. six rounds to five for Taylor and one even (which I would have edged to Taylor if I'd had to choose) plus a knockdown for Catterall and a point off each. Think Taylor will be better this time, looks better on the scales already, and I'm going Taylor UD.
The amount of fouls, dirty tactics and level of unprofessional behavior in the ring from both Taylor and Catterall in their last fight was a disgrace to the sport and should never take place at this level. Hopefully both of them got the memo this time that this is World Class Professional Boxing and not the local amatures sponsored by Rays Chicken Shack. The outcome of the fight will depend on if the referee knows how to do his job and shuts down all dirty tactics forcing them to actually box.
That's a good point. I re-watched it again recently and there was so much hugging, spoiling etc...it got silly. Let's hope it doesn't go like that this time.
