Of the two, LaMotta had more to offer. Sometimes Jake could be lazy though and may have gotten the decision sometimes when he didn't deserve it. If he comes into the fight in shape, he wins. Zale was too easy to hit and too straight up. If Jake fights lazy there's a chance Zale could win a decision..
Maybe he hasn't ever been hit right, or maybe his hand - picked opponents didn't try very hard or where told.......other than that he was a good gate drawer and fans loved him. No matter what anybody says, he was plenty tough to live to 94? I don't recall any great fighters making pass 90. You got to eat a lot of garlic to live longer. God Bless Jake.
