    That is the truth.

Foreman was smart and came back for the $$$ and $$$ money only, he did not care about some "Legacy" BS, he saw what happened to Ali and he did not want to end similar..............Foreman fought exactly three fighters with a pulse, average punching Holyfield, glass chinned fringe contender Morrison and glass chinned Ex Light Heavy Moorer...................and he lost to two out of the three, let that sink in.

I would only add that Briggs probably also has a pulse, if Morrison already has it.

They each passed their audition…Morrison against Mercer and Briggs against Wilson.

Why not go with the version that actually did stop him.

I was saying, or trying to say, that either 60's or 70's Ali would, IMO, stop old Foreman. Just not a good style match up for old George.

Trying to stop big George in his comeback was more trouble than it was worth. George by that time in his career was very experienced and despite his age could still knock anybody out. If guys like Bowe, Lewis, and Tyson fought big George in his comeback I'm confident they would've outpointed him, but I could also see them getting possibly knocked out themselves if they tried to force a knockout on him.

Prime liston would beat up any version of Foreman. Hes almost as strong and has a MUCH longer reach. Not to mention his jab which would seal foremans chances of getting in close.

Briggs is definitely a dangerous fighter and hits with the best of them.

Absolutely he would not. Old Foreman was measured and paced. Ali beat him by getting him to blow out his wad. Old Foreman never gassed because he fought at a calm pace.

This might sound like a weird answer, but Anthony Joshua, he’d have a higher chance of getting chinned himself than others, but that version of Foreman was susceptible to combinations and the uppercut with that guard, if you can slip it in, he wouldn’t see it coming, and he had flat feet, so if Joshua could hurt him and he had to back up to the ropes, he’d be a sitting duck for the combinations, he couldn’t afford to get hurt once against him.

I don't think Zaire Ali stops '90s Foreman.

The latter is less apt to play into the former's hands in this scenario.

Very wide UD win for Ali, but not a stoppage.

Tommy didn't go after Foreman because he was afraid of being ko'd. He only landed a handful of hard punches on Foreman.

Lol Holyfield average punching? He was able to knock down guys like Ray Mercer. So I guess Mercer didn't have a good chin. Morrison has a glass chin? Wait but you will turn around and say guys like Jersey Joe Walcott didn't have a glass chin? He was knocked out more times than Morrison. You will turn around say Joe Louis didn't have a glass chin, Morrison was a extremely talented guy who could bang, His problem was his party boy life style.

Also you are going to call out Moorer for being a light heavyweight? Then turn around and praise light heavyweights like Ezzard Charles, and Archie Moore becasue they fought Marciano?

Briggs was still a decent fighter who could punch. Pierre Coetzer was a talented fighter who had the bad luck of fighting in that talented era. Bert Cooper had drug problems but was a good fighter when he wasn't on drugs and could punch. Gerry Cooney was rusty but was only 33 years old and could bang. Axel Schulz was a good fighter but lacked punching power. Lou Savarase was a sold figher and a big 6'5 inch guy.
