I had it 115-113 for Catterall but can see 114-114 and even 115-113 for Josh. I think I'm literally the only person on here that gave Catterall round 2. If I had it would've been a draw for me as well

While Taylor has clearly declined since then, it'd be foolish to ignore the fact that Catt's style is much more difficult to deal with than Ramirez's. Ramirez, though fun to watch, is not a particularly good fighter.

Taylor probably retires. Not sure he will have the hunger or value to challenge for world honours. Catterall, I just can't see him winning against the current titleholders at 140. His best bet would be Haney at this point and Eddie will prioritise protecting Haney.

    scoring criteria is:
    Defence
    Quality punches
    Effective aggression
    Ring generalship

jack is not world class and will look like a clown with Haney, matias etc.

I was close to going draw, the 12th was really close imo. I just thought Catterall's flurries were more effective in the 12th than Taylor's pressure and jab. No problems at all with 114-114, but I had it 115-113 Catterall.

    It's quite simple tonight really.
Let's forget all the wank **** everyone.
We are all meant to be proper boxing people on here.
For me it was very close fight, probably Catterall by a point but a draw wouldn't be way off.
The lack of even rounds in this day and age in boxing is a disgrace by the way.
I can see why Bob arum kicked off cause 117 - 111 for a fight that is basically a round here or there is a disgrace.
Let's not all make a stupid dance about Bob arum or all these things about who is who. Let's score boxing matches like each man is Joe bloggs.
That fight was either a draw or maybe caterall by a point. If someone had Jack by 2 points there fair enough they scored a round that I had very very close over to him.

With Haneys chin, if Cat catches him with that big left straight he could def beat him. But agreed that boxers have advantage over counter punchers.

Even if it's an exciting fight Catterall's style is just not enjoyable to watch or pleasing on the eye. It's effective but I find it annoying and unmanly. It's like a brand of US slickness crossed with something else which is equally unmanly and unedifying. It actually puts me in a bad mood. I have no desire to watch him fight anyone other than the rubber match against Taylor.

''Hey Jack, your style of boxing is ugly, unmanly, not worthy of respect and it puts me in a bad mood.''

YEah, Taylor had 3-4 rounds 7-10 where he was digging the body really well and taking some of the wind out fo Cats sails - but credit to Catterall - he was very good at punctuating exchanges and finishing rounds with eye-catching shots even if his workrate was low
