According to people ring side and boxing experts Marciano lost to the 180 pound Roland LaStarza and the 170 pound Ted Lowry and not just lose to Lowry almost got knocked out by Lowry. As I said before and I will say again. Any person who is a Mike Tyson, Floyd Mayweather Jr, Usyk or Marciano fanboy I am blocking. Lowry went the distance again and lost a close fight. By the way these guys are between 170 and 180 pounds. You do realize there are weight classes? But like I said I doubt you watched a boxing match in your life. Which is why ou think a 180 pound Marciano could beat a 210-215 pound Liston.
That could be said about many fights that were close but it is not always true. Lowry looked like a potato after rematch and Rocky looked sharp I guess that is enough of evidence. The same way Holyfield beat Bowe and Usyk beat Fury also the same way Quarry beat Lyle and Foster. Liston was beaten by two LHWs smaller than Marciano and weaker too so I think Rocky would beat him badly after few rounds.
Marciano is 11-0 w 11KOs against men over 200 pounds. Liston lost to two men under 200. Weight doesn’t predict the outcome of a match at all. U don’t know much about the sport
The underlined is clearly nonsense. Liston has 16 inches of reach on Marciano ,hits harder,is a better boxer is two inches taller,and physically stronger. At range he smashes Rockys face into a pulp with his jab,in close he uppercuts him and rag dolls him. Marciano has only one way to fight,to come forward in doing so he is shipping punishment before he gets into range once in range he gets uppercutted , clubbed,and tied up. Holyfield beat Tyson because he was physically stronger and at 215 and 218 lbs he could not be bulled around the ring plus he was more effective at range and in close. Marciano at 5 10 1/2 and185lbs with a 68 inch reach is not Holyfield who is 6 2.1/2 with a 78 inch reach and has 30lbs of muscle on Rocky. Liston would not need the later rounds,imo Marciano's face would be cut to bits by that jab,he either gets stretched out or the referee rescues him in about 7 rounds.

You discount the possibility that a green Marciano, fighting with a broken jaw.might have lost a split dec to a cagey defensively minded more experienced,Marshall just as many thought he did against Lowry? Wrong on several counts. Some of which is pure speculation. Other things such as boxing ability is a wide open discussion. Is Liston better defensively? The answer is clearly no as box stats say Marciano is the far superior in that department. Is Liston “stronger”? Possibly does he hit harder? Maybe? It’s speculation. Think the one person who faced them both said Marciano hit harder but I could be wrong on that as it’s been awhile since I looked into that. Holyfield did NOT beat Tyson because he was stronger. That’s not what happened. Holyfield consistently controlled the distance and pace. Just as Usyk did against AJ. Marciano is gonna make Liston fight his fight imo. Which is gonna be a drag out war every round. Once again the reach means nothing. It could be two inches or two feet it doesn’t change how Marciano closes the gap. How he counters and draws his opponents in by his crouch n lean style. He was out reached in every fight he had and it meant nothing of the outcome. We don’t have those fights on film w Lowry but we do w Liston him quitting twice rightfully so the first time and getting knocked unconscious by a 199 pound man who didn’t hit in the stratosphere of Marciano.
