I'm just gonna say one thing. Liston got knocked out by Ali who can't crack an egg. Marciano hits much harder than Ali. You do the math.

This is proof that psychedelics really take the mind to fascinating dimensions LMAO!!

OK--analyzing this without the aid of any "enhancers"--peak 1950's Liston dispatches Marciano 3-4 rounds tops. (Sonny would overwhelm the Rock with too much power, reach, and boxing skill--that left jab would melt Marciano's face into ruin within 2 rounds!!)

If you believe the ko was genuine then how do you account for Sonny surviving the shots of Valdes,Summerlin,
    DeJohn and Williams?

Good question. Luck, probably. Or maybe they had been paid off by the mob not to hurt him.

Yeah Liston getting a broken nose from Williams must have been a pure accident.
You can see from the film the Big Cat is pulling his punches.

Sonny doesn't like to be punched in the belly and never faced body puncher like Marciano plus Marciano would be strongest man, with strongest chin and biggedt heart Liston faced.
I have seen Liston face after Martin and Ali, I wonder what would his face look like after Marciano?

Well spotted. They made it look real though! And then Williams pretended Liston hurt him etc. Top job I'd say. This explains a lot of things.

do not understand. Usyk is slippery, he doesn't fight with strength, Tyson was not much inferior in weight to his rivals, and in his prime he was much faster than everyone, he had better footwork, dynamics, and punching power. Patterson and Frazier, well... Patterson had great combinations, Frazier had great jaw, punching power, balance, but look what happened when they met fighters like Liston and Foreman. I suspect it would be the same with Marciano. Frazier to Foreman seemed unbeatable, and so do Rocky marciano to some, that's all.

Patterson fell to the boards often, but few men could finish him. Ingo did it in the first fight, in the second and third fight it turned out to be an accident. Liston did it easier and faster than Ingo, and in the rematch he showed that it was no accident. Other players like Quarry, Ali, Ellis, Bonavena were unable to finish Patterson. This probably proves that it wasn't that simple. Yet Floyd was older and more damaged in his fights than with Liston

It is an interesting point that those same people who point out Marciano's mob connections, which probably worked against him in the Walcott fight, don't do the same for Liston, which were much stronger and more active.

Completely missing the point. Point being it didnt deter him from winning at all. He didn’t struggle more w heavier men than lighter men He has a better KO percentage w them then the others. Most were journeymen some were excellent wins in Louis and mediocre in Don. Some were ok w Shkor and Savold If weight were an issue he should have struggled more w the heavier men. In other words Listons weight is no clear advantage. There is zero proof that it would be a positive.

Marciano v Louis wasn’t yet Rocky at his best. I’m assuming we get to use the best version of Rocky. That being said he still knocked out the second best Hw to ever live. The jab did not save him. Also his jab couldn’t be more different than Listons slow telephone pole like jab. Louis jab was still really quick
Also close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. Marciano never had a fight stopped on cuts. Period

Point being he never faced a quality 200lbs fighter who was prime.
