Usyk he's a much better boxer and proven he can deal with large skilled heavyweights plus deal with the clinch. Also idk how much stock you want to put into rumors but supposedly he beat up Wlad in sparring.
I think Wlad simply due to the way he creates space and his fabulous jab. Usyk's best trick is the way that he creates angles. Fury negated this to some extent by falling back and forcing Usyk to come head on. Wlad's footwork is even better than Fury's. That said he did spar Usyk and said that it was a challenge simply due to how fast Usyk was. Granted this was an older Wlad so his own speed had dropped off a bit.
Usyk outmaneuvers Wlad until Wlad simply invokes the 'Povetkin Love-Push', expertly feinting to set up the 'Hug-n-Lean Gambit' Referee, Luis Pabon, looks on (vacantly). Post-fight, Usyk is taken to hospital for a precautionary scan of his spine. It is subsequently hailed as Wlad's greatest victory.
Usyk has proven to be pretty darn well-rounded, a fine boxer who can not only get the bit between his teeth but change his approach. I don't see Wlad containing him for twelve. Usyk would read that 'I've-got-no-inside-game' clinch, take a half step back, and slam home counters.
I’d have to go with Wlad. A decade of dominance. Wlad really excelled against boxers and movers. Plus he had experience, more than any heavyweight in history with fighting lefties which would somewhat negate one of Usyk’s biggest advantages. Most heavies struggle with a lefty the first they time they face one just look at history whether it’s Ali vs Mildenburger, Holyfield vs Moorer or Byrd. Joshua vs Usyk, Fury vs Usyk etc. Some guys don’t even step in with them. However Wlad fought Tony Thompson 2x, Ibrigamov, Byrd 2x, Sanders, Chagaev, and probably a few others that’s off top of my head. That experience would help him greatly for the win.
Wlad. Wlad utterly dominated the best fighters of his era whether it be Haye, Povetkin or Chagaev. Usyk dropped 4-5 rounds to not just Fury and AJ but Derek Chisora. The people saying Usyk are living in the moment. Usyk is 3-0 against Fury and AJ and Wlad is 0-2. But all 5 fights were competitive and Wlad is 12+years older than Fury and AJ while Usyk is almost the same age.
Uysk makes Vlad work at a pace that he is not comfortable with at all. Plus, Vlads entire offense is set up with his jab. Uysk is the king of taking that punch away from a conventional fighter.
Not sure if serious? Moorer? The guy who lost to to a 45 year old man? The guy who lost to Eliseo Castillo? The guy humiliated by Tua? The guy who only won his title because the other guy was having a heart attack and organ failure, and still had to get off the canvas and receive dodgy judging to do it? The guy who went life and death with Bert Cooper. Is there another Michael Moorer that I don't know about?
Yes. I have a neighbor named Michael Moorer. He beat Holyfield, Bowe, Tyson, Lewis, Bruno, McCall, Tua, Foreman and even Briggs in 1 round a piece. He also knocked out Ray Mercer unconscious in sparring. But none of these fights were ever released to the public and were held in top secret locations.
