As you know Beterbiev beat Usyk as an amateur. Once in three fights, it seems to me, and correct me if I'm wrong.

Amateur stuff is amateur stuff so no,Beterbiev is making his own greatness in the pro ranks from his performances. Did Usyk losing to Shawn Porter in the amateurs take anything away from Usyk’s Undisputedness ? I’m not even sure Beterbiev has ever beat Usyk tbh (2011 WC loss/2012 Olympics loss).

Some good wins over other notable fighters in both Beterbievs and Usyk’s amateur records . 2006 not being a very good year for Usyk by his standards, some good reading to be had from the link you posted .

Not really anymore than Shawn Porter does - it was like 14 years ago or summat!

In the professinal ranks, Usyk would beat and possibly stop Beterbiev.

No of course not you might aswell say Augie Sanchez's professional record is better because he beat Mayweather as an Amateur who went on to become an ATG.

It doesn't work like that Amateur wins have nothing to do with how you are ranked in professional ranks.

A few years ago, Beterbiev wanted an Usyk fight and asked Eddie Hearn to make it happen

Hearn never responded and Beterbiev signed with Top Rank who guaranteed him the path of least resistance to the 175lbs champions.

A few years ago Beterbiev at 190lbs (no weight cut) vs a prime CW Usyk would have been fire

He should have won at least two of those fights

Obviously, we're assuming the fight would take place at either cruiser or heavyweight.

I'm sure Beterbiev doesn't walk around at 175lbs.

That’s like giving Sadam Ali credit for beating Terence Crawford in the amateurs just because Crawford ended up having a good career and becoming twice undisputed. A win over someone in the amateurs have no bearings at all when it comes to the pros.

Aaron Pryor beat Thomas Hearns in the amateurs but that doesn’t reflect on Pryor’s overall career. I think a lot of people would agree that Hearns would have iced Pryor had they actually fought professionally.
