After Jack Catterall's victory in Leeds, Bob Arum expressed his significant displeasure with the British Boxing Board of Control during a live broadcast on DAZN.

Arum raised his concerns by grabbing a microphone as Catterall spoke to the crowd following his victory over Josh Taylor. Taylor had previously given Catterall a tough decision loss even though Catterall had outlanded him by about fifty punches and thrown over two hundred more.

In the rematch, Chorley resident Catterall won the closer rounds according to the WBN scoring and was given two judges' favorable scores, 117-111. A third judge awarded the match 116-113, but she had a somewhat different opinion.

Bob Arum calls the Catterall vs. Taylor 2 scores "ridiculous."

Arum openly denounced the scoring, calling it a "disgrace" and offering his condolences to Taylor, whom he felt should have won. In such a situation, he pledged to forbid American fighters from participating in the UK, labeling the scores as "ridiculous" and unacceptable.

In a lighthearted response to Arum's comments, Eddie Hearn, the head of Matchroom Boxing, stated that he acknowledged the scores were wide but that the correct fighter had won and praised the caliber of the match and the occasion.

I thought the contest was great. Jack deserves praise for his efforts; he showed growth from our last meeting. To be fair, though, I thought I had the little advantage in the fight. Jack has earned the right to pursue higher-profile matchups if that is his desire. I am open to the concept of a trilogy match because we are now level at one win apiece.

While I agree with his sentiment, there's always been far too many robberies, shady stoppages and crooked scorecards in the UK. That being said, The Bobfather is the worst man possible to deliver this message. It's like OJ Simpson voicing his displeasure with the Robert Blake verdict.

Poor Bob—Did he bet his synagogue money on this fight?
The right man got the nod and this is not the first time the cards are too wide or too close. SMH

There have been many corrupt scorecards on Top Rank promoted boxing cards, and lots of corrupt referee behavior favoring Arum's boxers. A good example is Craig Metcalfe's inexplicable scorecard in Fury-Usyk, and the referee Mark Nelson's behavior in the 9th round of that fight.

Two of the scorecards were a bit wide for Catterall-Taylor, but Catterall landed the cleaner punches in most of the rounds and deserved to win the fight. I scored it 115-113 for Catterall. The right man won.

He was right about the wide scorecards being a disgrace but disgraceful scorecards and robberies are as commonplace over in the US as drinking beer in bars is. We don't ever stack the deck with home refs and three home judges for world title fights between a home and an away fighter which is almost the norm over there and it only happens over there. Taylor and Catterall are obviously both Brits and it wasn't a world title fight.

OG Bob should've gone off like that after Loma vs Salido, before Loma vs GRJ, Loma vs Teofimo, and Loma vs Haney because all the officials for those fights were from the US.

Where was this version of Ole' Bob after Pac-Horn., Loma-Salido, Loma-Haney?Maybe Bob had planned to use Taylor as an opponent for someone with a future but It seems strange to me that Bob is so invested in a British-level fight. Taylor's underperformed since Ramierez - three years ago.
Maybe he was just having a senior moment and at 90 something years old, that's understandable.

I also thought 2 to 3 points was about right, 117-111 was ridiculous
