He should take another 10lb off which will help him maintain what he was doing between rounds 3 - 6. He'll still have a huge weight advantage even with the drop. I bet Usyk for the first fight but have to admit, Fury had me worried for a while. He had Usyk extremely frustrated and was looking so comfortable in those rounds. Removing his dad from the corner and training camp could also prove pivotal.
I considered that also. I guess I just felt like this is the pinnacle opf your career here, go for it. But.....I'm no heavyweight champ so I may very well have no idea what I'm talking about. The other puzzlement for me is Sugar kept reiterating the KO but I felt like Tyson was boxing the opposite of that. Just kind of felt like Tyson wilted a little under the pressure which really surprises me given everything he's overcome in his life. But anyway, I think he could win a rematch or he could absolutely implode. I could see either.
I think we can pick the bones out of it till the cows come home fella. Let's see what happens in the rematch. They have to figure out while he was slowing down and this is when he was ontop after the sixth or find away to slow him down. It was like his match fitness betrayed him. Maybe these 12 rounds and keeping the weight off now should do him a world of good as he's not going to be inactive. I'll say this though looking at the state of usyk I don't think he's going to be keen for this rematch and it's a fast turn around to the periods between heavyweight fights. We shall see.
Arum and Warren both talking about this rematch not being until early 2025 now. I’m not sure Fury will do well with that much time out of the ring, Lots of talk about how Fury can win a rematch but the changes Usyk will make are being overlooked. He has 12 rounds of intel in the bag and is one of the smartest fighters out there. Still not sure this fight even happens.

Strange but the only time I think fury has had that big over hand right was in wilder 2/3. Odd. Wilder had a good chin at this stage too, but no matter where fury landed it hurt wilder. I know he threw a good uppercut against whyte, but this punch was professionally executed with accuracy, after wearing whyte down he landed on the button. Whyte was chinny at this stage too.
The question we need to ask is Fury physically capable of fighting behind the jab as he did from rounds 4-6 for more than 3 rounds of a fight? I suspect that even if he lived the life and dedicated himself to physical conditioning that he wouldn’t be capable. It takes years of dedication to be in the shape required.
I don't think he can As much as I dislike Fury and his place in the current boxing landscape, he fought one hell of a fight and simply came up short against the better man. Fury pulled absolutely everything from his bag of tricks: showboating, defensive skills, unorthodox shots, leaning etc. The reality is Fury never had the sharp, 0-to-60 power to keep Usyk off like AJ or even Dubois had. He was always going to get swarmed and had to operate within this framework. Yes, he blasted Usyk with a great lead uppercut in round 6, but this pushed Usyk to throw more volume and jab his way into close range more often in subsequent rounds Fury could 'win' a rematch in the same way Canelo could 'win' a Bivol rematch: don't get caught as much, make each round closer and rely on favourable judging
Warren said at the weekend that after three back to back training camps for both fighters and Usyk currently on a medical suspension, the rematch is more likely going to be early 2025 than October 2024. Arum has mentioned April.. that’s another 11 months closer to both guys impending retirements.

This. Like the rounds AJ won against Usyk. He makes you work extremely hard to win them and it takes its toll, then Usyk hits the accelerator again. Fury generally has a very low punch output.. rounds 4,5,6 and 7 against Usyk left him blowing out his ass
