According to Wikipedia, he earned 365 million dollars last year, paid by DAZN.

Thats one million per every day of the year!

Id be happy with 50 million, let alone 365 million. His legacy is cemented, he will be in the IBHOF and he wouldnt have to take any more blows!

He should face Benavidez and rematch Bivol…

I wonder how much of that went on child support.

Canelo can make another $100m+ from boxing

He just needs to find a promotional company who is dumb enough to give him guarantees of $35m and be naive enough to think they can make $50m from him per fight

It didn't work out for DAZN or PBC

Canelo must fight Benavidez, rematch Bivol or fight Beterbiev. That’s the only relevant fights but he won’t take them because he loses all three and likely gets savagely KOed in two of them.

No, I think Canelo has plenty of fights and many years of activity left

That being said, he's quickly running out of fighters between Bud and Benavidez. Or at least, fighters who bring in some $

Canelo is such a big star in boxing mad Mexico and parts of the US that he could fight circus midgets and make money.

As Canelo says, he can do what he wants.

As he ages, he will become increasingly selective as to who he takes on.

If this was actually true, he would've fought JermAll a few weeks ago

The reality of the situation is that Canelo has an increasingly short list of opponents (who aren't Bud and Benavidez) that networks will actually front the money for

Probably should retire, he shamelessly ducked Benavidez and a new crop of 168 lb fighters are rising. Christian Mbillie will be avoided as well and he doesn't seem interested in going back to 175

Think Canelo loves the sport and competing. He should do what he wants to do.

Recent unverified reports say that the Munguia fight did just 500k in buys. Which is seen as a flop, but it´s 45 million in revenue.
Add to that the gate and international revenues, and you get a box office success.
I doubt PBC would have paid Canelo again if they weren´t confident in the numbers.

Tldr; Canelo is here to stay.

Father time is undefeated. I give Canelo a few more years. He certainly doesn't need the money.

I doubt he fights for more that a few more years and in that time he will be very selective in who he fights.
