Who Could Have Stopped Bonecrusher, Of The Tyson Fight?

Jack Johnson? He knew how to hurt guys very well in the clinch. I can't imagine Bonecrusher surviving too long like that with Johnson pounding on him and twisting his arms.

 

The reason he was able to do that with Tyson is because of two things. First, Mike didn't really know how to fight inside thus he was always willing to accept a clinch. You can see those things throughout his career. Second, his style didn't enable him to break loose. When your hips and shoulders are square to an opponent, he can grab you and control you pretty easily. You aren't able to turn.
Joe Louis would cut Bonecrusher to pieces in that situation.

 

Yeah Tyson's infighting skills, could've really used some work. I think they would've greatly helped him against Ruddock as well.

 

In 15 rounds fight Frazier and Marciano would stopped him, while Foreman would stopped him mid rounds.
Liston would have same trouble with him same way he had with Machen.
Joe Louis would beat him like a drum and TKO him inside 10 rounds and Ali would too.

 

Best shot Lennox Lewis who mastered teeing off on those big open sluggers ...

 

Riddick Bowe was a near-contemporary of Smith’s & a magnificent in-fighter. He’d have succeeded in exciting fashion where Tyson was content to merely win.

 

Guys like Holmes and Ali will do it w/ cuts. Both Klitschko's gert the stoppage. AJ very well could get him. I even think Page at his best or Witherspoon have a decent chance to stop the guy. Norton.

Plenty of people could've stopped a big, slow, wide open, low IQ slugger who refuses to throw punches and simply grabs or covers up 80% of each round.
