What's the Classic forums thoughts on Shozo Saijo? He seems to be an almost forgotten Japanese champion from the 60s who was also the 7th fighter from Japan to be world champion and the first to win a title outside Japan. He was a fast, skilled boxer who could also fight aggressively although he lacked big power. In some ways he reminds me of Masao Ohba. His biggest weakness was his tendency to go full Kamikaze when things started to heat up leading him to get into unnecessary brawls, although showing tremendous heart and will.

His wild fight with Flash Besande is worth watching. Uploaded by @McGrain

Also his admirable effort against Antonio Gomez. Round 3 is especially insane.
