Always had a soft spot for Dubois, and seeing him this week and after the fight, he finally is looking like he's enjoying being a boxer. Took a lot of stick for taking a knee against Joyce, but that looks to have been a brilliant decision in retrospect. Didn't have it easy in the early rounds but showed a lot of what people have said he doesn't possess. Pleased for him.
Last night was for all the people in the World that said he had no heart, wasn't cut out for boxing etc after the Joyce fight,. I'd love to see him rematch Joyce, I think he beats him, it would be a good sell for both fighters too.
His footwork was excellent at times last night and he showed a fantastic engine for such a big guy. I'd say its because he's more naturally muscular whereas someone like Joshua looks pumped up. If he gets the Joshua fight I'd have him as the slight underdog. If he can protect that left side a bit better though and force the pace, he'd have a huge chance. He's a naturally stronger man over Joshua also imo.
Hrgovic was stopped on doctors advice due to cuts, Dubois nutted him how many times? He wasn't being outboxed and he wasnt ko'd he was probably 5-2 up on the cards before the doc stepped in. I wouldn't get too excited for Dubois and if the AJ fight gets made I'd wager Dubois gets battered.
Hrgovic was totally out on his feet and was about to get absolutely battered. The cuts didn't make him gas out.
At times Dubois looked excellent last night. First 2 rounds I gave to Hgovic, Hgovic looked strong and sharp. Dubois then started of a lot better in the third and for me started to take control of the fight. If the fight wasn't stopped because of the cuts the Dubois was on the way to knocking hi out 100%. Great win for for him. Dubois is a likeable and honest. He cracks me up in interviews and he is an exciting fighter to watch.
I quite like him, always in good fights against anyone, he should be far more popular, Joshua is a racist and showed poor behaviour lots of times, Fury is Fury, Dubois is annoying as he has all the tools but doesn't seem to always put them together.
I wish DDD all the best and it is good to see a man taking fights as an underdog like Tyson Fury v Wilder unlike years of Joshua and Whyte facing stiffs with little prospect of winning. The Big Baby fight is a real gut check for anyone and he came through it. After watching 2 rounds when DDD was losing and not looking great last night, I posted on the thread that this Hrgovic fight is there for the taking should he believe in himself. Great to see him come through and get the stoppage. Now the question is will Joshua Duck DDD and fight Michael Sprott Wilder instead?
Be interesting to see how AJ reacts to DDD cracking him on the chin. I think if Dynamite tightens his defence up and makes it a good pace he could well light Femi up.
Is there actual talk of Joshua fight Wilder? Surely that can't happen. Wilder is completely shot. He's gone. I believe Joshua ducks DDD and fights Zhang. Easy fight for Joshua imo
Dubois I’m going to put him to sleep comments still make me cringe he is still using that line from the Gorman promo
