How overrated was Wilder's power? He knocked out a lot of tomato cans and dropped Fury, but other fighters have dropped Fury too...Who has a suspect chin but good recuperative powers...

Can we end all the BS of "Wilder was the hardest puncher ever" talk...

I think Wilder has also declined in terms of power, age is catching up with him, and you have to take into account that Zhang was 68lbs heavier and he also has incredible power...

Wilder is very, very damaged from the Tyson Fury beatings.

He's a totally different fighter. He was fighting scared like Audley Harrison in there. When he was always so wild and game.

Most fighters are respectful in the ring after the fight, saying that is like someone who just blanked a guy over 12 rounds saying "he's a good fighter, gave me a tough fight." Wilder fought scared, Zhang probably didn't feel the need in the immediate aftermath to also pile on saying there was nothing on his punches.

It looked like he got hurt by a right hand shorty before getting the tko.

Heavyweights who punch hard are a literal dime a dozen. Most fade into obscurity.

Well to be fair Wilder didn't even throw a right hand for 4 rounds, when he did finally land one in the 5th round he did seem to buzz Zhang somewhat. But again Wilder was gun shy and never really landed much of signifance for Zhang to feel his power.

Wilder's right hand is gone. It relied primarily on his fast-twitch fibers, which after 2 horrific beatings and KO losses, as well as aging, are gone.

It was obvious in the Parker fight, he wasn't the same fighter. Many put it down to rust, but now it's clear the Fury trilogy took it's toll on him.

Yeah, I just thought I'd give him one more chance. But yeah the diagnosis is confirmed now!

I actually think Wilder landed a few right hands even before that, but not fully flush. Which is what happen when you fighting top opposition.
Wilder never ever actually had cracked someone who has iron chin, let alone granite one.
Duaphas was a guy with a good chin, and while the ref stops the fight, Wilder never even managed to put him down.
Povetkin KO that due inside 6 rounds or so. And i know Boxing doesn't work like that, and that WIlder hits hard.
But we will never really know how hard, as he never really faced guys with good chins. Eh, when his done it, they all survive, like Duaphas, Zhang, Parker, etc.
