Ok I just looked this stuff up to make sure memory wasn't failing me. Pac vs JMM 1 was at 126. Pac was 25 y/o and JMM 30. I have seen nothing yet that convinces me that Inoue beats either of those guys. Not saying I can't be wrong, but nah. Those guys were monsters at 126 during an era of monsters at 126.
Looked legit to me at the time and rewatching it still looks legit. Inoue simply got ahead of himself and was sloppy in that first round and paid the price. Luckily for him, he seems to have an iron chin, he was completely spun around and still never looked seriously hurt and took Donaire best shots flush and kept going. Hopefully it was a reality check he needed to refocus for upcoming fights. It's easy to become over confident when you are dominating like he is and especially when you have that KO punch.
You know, they say that space is curved. And I like to believe that there's no curved space I cannot fill.
Nope. It's legit. Even if he did slip (which I positively think he did not), it's still a weak case to be considered one as Nery's punch connected before he got down.
