How Impressive Would Monzon look, Against Hagler s Title Opponents?

How's Carlos look against the guys that Marvin fought as champion?

 

He would be a considerable favourite over all of them I think Monzon would go 12-0 just like Hagler did.

I think the only real difference is Monzon probably stops Hearns in the 2nd half of the fight instead of the 1st half like Hagler did, and I would also favour Monzon to stop Duran aswell instead of going the distance like Hagler did.

 

I think Mugabi would knock him out

Other opponents I would favor are hagler, Roy Jones, and Mcheal Second to Nunn

 

Monzon would wear down Nunn as the fight goes on. Hagler and Jones Jr are pick em fights

 

I wouldnt bet on it. Carlos wasnt a pressure fighter and would have to match jabs with Mike, who would get off first. Mike was pretty slick and hard to hit

hagler was too versatile and Roy would certainly beat Cm to the punch for a UD

In all fairness, Carlos Monzon defeats all 12 title challengers of Marvelous Marvin Hagler's era, but at the same time, Hagler defeats all 14 of Monzon's title defense challengers, that includes a prime Bennie Briscoe and Rodrigo Valdes.

 

I think he wins against all of them but doesn't look nearly as good as Hagler did, either knocks them out late after wearing them out or wins a decision against them.

I agree on paper Monzon can perfectly win them all.

In more realistic terms I think he wins 10 and loses maybe a couple, here and there.

Maybe Nunn, Jones or Mugabi manage to pull an upset

 

I’m confident he’d beat them all but not sure how it would look
