Who are Gatekeeper fighter today?

A boxer can go through many phases in their career

From a prospect to a contender to a champ

From a prospect to a contender to a gatekeeper to a journeyman or a bum

I do not believe a former world champion should be described as a gatekeeper because a gatekeeper by definition is not quite good enough to win a world title or generally even challenge for a world title

It feels wrong to describe a once beautiful woman who used to be a model in her prime before her beauty withered as a model and likewise it does to describe a former world champion who is long past their prime as a gatekeeper

It doesn't just feel wrong it feels disrespectful

We really should treat these warriors who represent our sport with more respect, much more, especially those who once rose to the greatest heights to achieve their dream of becoming world champions

They don't give world titles away you know

Unless that is we're talking about boxers who have been cursed with below punch resistance or power

Or are cowardly cheating human octopuses with a mortal fear of getting hit who will use every dirty unmanly cowardly trick in the book to avoid, god forbid, their opponent being able to land punches on them, in addition to octopus grabbing, worm hunting ie. ducking below waist level, spoiling by stiff-arming, leading with the shoulder, forearm, or head etc.

Have gloves, won't travel deck-stacking divas who refuse to sign on the dotted line unless they have all the advantages in their favour

These massive weight bullies who forge careers out of hunting leprechauns and when they do move up in weight to become multiple weight champs they're either still bigger than their opponents or at worst the same size as them

Those kind of boxers are totally fair game and we must mock, ridicule, verbally abuse and hound them out of the sport at every opportunity we get
