I'll give you one person per division: (obviously there's more) HW: Jerry Forrest CW: Thabiso Mchunu LHW: Callum Johnson SMW: Caleb Truax MW: Derevchenko JMW: Tony Harrison WW: David Avanesyan JWW: Jose Pedraza LW: Richard Commey SFW: Miguel Roman FW: Isaac Dogboe SBW: Not sure. Other than standouts I don't pay much attention at SBW and below I consider gatekeepers as guys that never quite made it or former titlists that are now shopworn but still can expose the truth about a prospect or up and comer.
Chisora is about to have his 7th fight since 2020. Ortiz has only fought 4 times, one of which was against a class cannon in Colombia this year. I don´t think Ortiz qualifies as a gatekeeper these days as he barely fights.
So he has beat a washed up Wilder and an ancient Zhang (who had him down twice)...now he is the future of boxing?? Nah still doesn't convince me he is anything special. Annihilated by the slow and ponderous Joyce....lost to Whyte and AJ
You beat Derevyanchenko, your elite. So he is a gate keeper to eliteness. None of the others on this list can say the same.
The fact is that he is a top 5 heavyweight. That is not even open for dispute and alone means he is better than a "gatekeeper." And when you factor in that Fury and Usyk are just about done, it is not inconceivable that Parker ends up winning a belt or two. So no, Parker is not by any measure a gatekeeper.
Get a grip man. No one was calling either of them washed before Parker beat them. Actually, do know anything about boxing?
