I think Gvozdyk cherrypick will backfire

Gvozdyk and Benavidez are the same height and Gvozdyk even has an inch longer reach than him but Benavidez is the one who looks longer and taller even though he isn't. Gvozdyk looks tall and kind of slim but he doesn't look lanky and I think Benavidez weighs more than him

Gvozdyk has actually been about an inch or an inch and half taller than Benavidez in every face off despite being listed at the same height.

My analogy is absurd and idiotic which is completely in line with this line of reasoning from the naysayers of this fight. Gvozdyk has had three fights since coming out of his semi retirement. He's shook the rust off, it's a fair fight. He got beat up when he was jetlagged and just starting his camp, while Benavidez was in the middle of his, raring to go, in tip top shape, looking to prove himself to an older fighter. There's an element of surprise even in sparring, like most fights people go into blind. There will be no surprise this time, both men have had full camps are totally focused on fighting one another, and they're obsessing on each other's styles, and how they can capitalize on one another's flaws. Gvozdyk is a very smart fighter and will give David the hardest fight of his career. Does David and his team think it's a cherry pick? Sure they do. But there's been plenty of times where cherry picks have blown up in people's faces. This will most likely be one of those times. So cheer up, Gvozdyk is not here to lay down.

Canelo's power doesn't carry up beyond 175lbs IMO.

Just seen gvodzyks last fight looks like the power and accuracy is still there. I reckon it's worth a punt. Will be staying up for this card looks great.

Yup solid power I believe that because he is a great puncher (shape, form, combinations etc) but he isn't a KO merchant

I think he's been wearing a hat in the face offs I've seen but either way, if they're the same size of Gvozdyk is taller, Benavidez looks like the more tall lanky type to be than Gvozdyk despite the fact he isn't the taller man.

I thought it might be that too but the most recent face off was one of those thin fabric baseball caps. He's just taller than Benavidez. Eyes, nose, mouth, shoulders all above Benavidez comparatively. Benavidez definitely frauding his height by at least 1 inch or 1 inch and a half.

Yeah I'm not disputing Gvozdyk is taller or not but rather that due to their body types Benavidez looks the more lanky type of fighter to me

He does look lanky. But if he frauded his height its possible he frauded his reach. Its interesting because he's a guy who relies on being so much bigger than his opponents.

Why would we want a younger fresher fighter with a bigger following to lose to a boring Ukranian on his way out?
