It's a mandatory fight for Canelo if he wants to retain all his belts. The IBF must have given Scull the mandatory slot because his name sounds pretty threatening.

It’s hard to overstate how horrifically bad of a mismatch this is.

Rocky Fielding and Avni Yildirim at the time they fought Canelo were levels above this guy…

 

I thought I read Canelo actually rejected this fight and I remember giving him props for that, but I guess the money is too good and doesn't want to be stripped just yet, so I can't really blame him if this random no-name was thrust upon him.
