Bruno was the first fighter that got me interested in the sport when he fought Tyson for the first time. I started following it during Eubank Sr's time in the early 90's but I really became a hardcore fan during the rise of Hamed. I went from a guy who just watched the big fights on TV to actually start buying boxing magazines and watching every single fight I could, including domestic level fights.
I just got hooked on the fights, the events, the hype etc. I don't think it was any particular fighter. As a kid under 10 years old, I was watching Holmes, Hagler, Barry Michael, Frank Ropis, Graeme Brooke, Lester Ellis. A few years after Jeff Fenech and Jeff Harding were my idols/heroes. Barry Michael made an impact on me, he would always beat the young up and coming local fighters who were supposed to beat him. My Dad was a huge fan of his.
Frank Bruno was the pro that go me interested but I was already in the boxing gym by then because I was a delinquent and my dad sent me to learn some self discipline
Tyson when I was a kid.. Then fell out of boxing til one night when I was 21 or so, the TV was on HBO and I happened to catch the Klitschko vs Mercer fight... I was like, damn, a real life Drago! Been hooked ever since
