If you could pick 6 light heavies to put in a tournament, who would you pick and who comes out on top?

Spinks, Hopkins, Bob Foster, Roy Jones Jr, Beterbiev, Charles.

Moore vs. Qawi in the alternate.

Jones would be a major problem and I think he would win.

I like that list. Also Moore vs Qawi would be interesting.

    Charles
    Moore
    Spinks
    Harold Johnson
    Tunney
    Roy Jones

I don’t like leaving out Qawi or foster or Conn…so many great LHWs. Think Charles was the best of them

Problem with that list is that Moore got 3 kicks at the can vs Charles and never could quite get it right. So we know that Moore isn't coming out on top as long as Charles is involved.

Well depends. Moore may be a better match up against Harold Johnson than Charles is. Depends who fights who.

    Spinks
    Galindez
    Conn
    Moore
    Tunney
    Charles

I would also consider to include a young Usyk to see what he has at LHW.
Moorer would be another option to see how he performs.

Ezzard, Tunney, Moore, Spinks, Foster, Conn.

    Ezzard prevails IMO.

Honestly, it’s too deep a division historically. I would have preferred a World Cup style tourney with perhaps sixteen combatants.

six is too small a number IMO.

Moore, Spinks, Foster, Conn, RJJ and Beterbiev among the guys who held title.

Langford, Tunney, Bivins, Greb, Charles and Harold Johnson in group 2. (Note: i rank Charles #1 at 175)

Winner of first group fights winner of second group in the finals.

Would Charles really beat Greb, though? Hmmm.

    Way too deep for 6.

I would put Ward, Calzaghe, Beterbiev, Archie Moore, Hopkins, Fitzsimmons. These are not the top 6 LHWs I picked them because theres the most mystery there and we'd learn the most having these 6 fight. I put Ward and Calzaghe because they are undefeated and didn't fight much and you want to see how good they really are. Beterbiev has the shortest career of any LHW champ and the 100% KO rate so throwing him. Fitzsimmons has HW power and fought in the stone age so you want to see how he'd do. And of course Moores and Hopkins reign was when they were old and you want to see them in their prime.

I don't get picking Charles as a mount rushmore ATG LHW tbh when he lost his chance at the LHW belt to Bivins so soundly. But for a tournament I guess it'd be interesting to see how he does.

I cant split 8 and would prefer10, adding Conn and Lewis.

If it came down to Moore vs Charles, we know that conclusion.
