Probably not in the top 1000, but who is going to make that list.

Seriously this to me is the most embarrassing loss in boxing history. Duran was a all-time great quitting.

The A.J loss to Ruiz will live on in everyone's memory as unintentional hilarity, no doubt. I laughed the whole next day.

Going back aways, you can't leave out Zab Judah doing the "Gumby Dance" after Kostya Tsyzu clocked him. That was epic.

Going back further and probably one most haven't seen, Ex-154 lb champ Eddie Gazo went to fight Thomas Hearns at Cobo in Detroit right while Hearns was drawing a bead on a title shot. Gazo's trainer flexed all kinds of verbal about "Eddie is too strong for Hearns. Wait till he feels his power!"

Gazo looked like a drunk off the street on muscle relaxers careening helplessly around the ring and never landed a single punch. Memorably embarrassing KO1.

It can be a win-win with fatties all round, squire. In that I've found fatter blokes are more generous in nature too. Give me a boozer with just 3 fat blokes in as opposed to a rammed bar with thinner blokes in, and I'll get more free drinks bought for me from the 3 fatties....

    ;)

 Very true, squire. Fat dudes might order very portions on their plate but they're generous by nature

I reckon the UBF champion getting beaten like a red headed stepchild by a schoolkid is the worst L in boxing history.

    He was gone!
didn’t know what planet he was on.

if it continued he would’ve been going out on a stretcher. Good call by the ref

He quit. Not sure why you're trying to convince yourself otherwise.

I’m no aj follower, but a fighter can be “done” prior to being taken out on a stretcher.

Many Other fighters that “done” stay down, he managed to get but couldn’t continue.

but ok you believe what you want and have a nice day

It does suprise me again and again the content on this boxing forum seems like it comes from people with little understanding of the sport in real terms.

things are not always black and white, quite often there is lots of grey

Bit of a perfect storm. Too many reliant on the Joshua money. No one willing to stand up when needed. The guy beat the count 4 times, but he was just going to ship more punishment.

What Joshua needed was a Mark Breiland in his corner that night. His heart wasn't the problem.

Whilst I did enjoy the Ruiz Jr. victory (immensely), questioning a guy's heart that beat the count 4 times is a bit rum

For a litany of reasons, principally aesthetic, the answer is yes. I remember Haye saying "At least Rocky came in shape". If Ruiz-Joshua 1 had been fictionalised in a movie prior to it actually happening it would have been seen as an absurd Rocky parody.
