What stops Fury from going down in weight to the Wlad fight level?

I think Fury knows that Usyk would beat him under pretty much any circumstances. Him attempted to lean on Usyk plenty of times but Usyk surprised him with his strength in the clinches. Also, Ngannou showed the blueprint on how to deal with Fury's clinching with the so-called "chicken wing technique". You could see that Usyk applied it very well and Fury couldn't do much against it. And in later rounds when Fury was more tired, Usyk just simply shoved him off like he did against Joshua, Fa or Modugno.

No version of Fury outboxes Usyk for 12 rounds. He could do it for 2 rounds, 4, maybe even 5. But 12? Never. This is a difference that people have to understand. Fury moves well for his size and weight. Fury has good stamina for his size and weight. Usyk moves well and has great stamina, period.

There's a story that Chisora told when asked what he thought made Usyk different. Del Boy said Usyk was "mental, and I mean it—that guy is not normal," then continued to describe how, during the week of his Fury fight, Usyk went cycling for hours in the desert heat every day in Saudi to further strengthen his stamina. That was the point, said Del Boy, he realised that Usyk was "just not normal."

And I think he has a point—I mean, who does that? Who goes cycling for hours in the desert heat on fight week? Who spars 15 rounds with 3 sparring partners, 5 rounds with each so the sparring partner is always fresher than him, and rests only 30 seconds between rounds? Who finishes off these sparring sessions with jogging an additional 30 minutes on the treadmill? Who puts the treadmill in the pool to run against the resistance of the water? Nobody else apart from Usyk. You can't compete with that just because you are no longer carrying around an extra 30 lbs of fat. Usyk will always have the upper hand because he has always been in shape and always trained like a maniac. When you look at their bodies, Fury clearly looked the older man. His body ages much more rapidly than Usyk's.

Well for starts, Nandrolone is a hell of a drug ;)
plus Fury is now 9 years older with a stop/start inactive career and a lifestyle not fitting that of any kind of athlete. He’s also riddled with elbow and ankle problems and probably some chronic traumatic encephalopathy. He’ll come in heavier for the rematch if it happens.

I think this was mainly down to his opponent selection and his ability to convince a lot of people that he was an ATG.

Put on 16 pounds, go for a run and then we'll talk.

I lost 30 pounds in about 6 months at 38 and didn't feel drained or whatever.

Also , don't call me doofus you nut gobbler.

If Fury lost alot of weight he would be much vulnerable to getting KO'ed and i don't think he would have the physicality or power to really deter Usyk.

I don't think losing alot of weight would do Fury any good maybe losing a few pounds wouldn't do him any harm and maybe improve his conditioning. But he needs to keep his considerable weight advantage over Usyk.

You're a doofus let me gobble nuts in peace

He was 250+ against Wlad but they rigged the scales and that was his career lightest "246". 25 years old, lean with little muscle mass.

Your bone density peaks in your 30's. At 35, Fury would have to drain and atrophy to drop below 260.

He was lean and light for Usyk but 4/6 months from poor shape isn't enough to be top flight conditioning.

If he trains for the next 4 months and gets his cardio where it should be he will be even fitter AT THE SAME WEIGHT. He will not drop below 260. He did drop below 260 against Wallin by mistake at 255 pounds.

All this talk about weight is huff and puff anyway. Neither Fury & Usyk can reach top fighting shape anymore....getting through a camp injury free and in good shape is all that matters.

anyway back to the key points...246 is a phony figure anyway! Airy fairy. So calm down.

Fury could slim another 5 pounds....to no benefit and if you think 5 pounds to a 260 pound man who walks around at 300 pounds is a lot then lol.

If he just athrophied those humps over his ass, he would lose like 10lb.

Have you taken a look at the Wlad weigh in video recently? It is just fat gone, simple.

Btw, Wlad's bones didn't seem denser at 39 as looked and weighed the same as always.

Fury's on record saying he was about 18 stone 12lbs (260lbs) on his scales that he always uses for every fight and are accurate. He said his whole team were baffled when he weighed in at 246lbs and asked him if he wanted to weigh in again after the weigh in since that meant he'd lost about 15lbs in an hour.

Fury said he didn't have to coz he knew this was just gamesmanship by Wlad's team tampering with the scales.

Ok then other members of the Fury team said it as well then. Fury was clearly much bigger and heavier than Wladimir in that fight the scales (which Wlad got on first) had them both weighing the same. It's obvious.

It's possible the scales were off but what benefit would Wlad's team get for tampering with them exactly? If anything lowering the weight would make Fury appear more professional and serious about his conditioning.
