I think an odd number of rounds, 13 for example. Not necessarily 15.

FNF really had something with their mini tournaments where they had the 1 round box off if the fight was a draw.

That was a really good idea.

No, people don't have stamina to fight for 12 rounds.

I can't even name 10 boxers who would fight 15 rounds right now.

So we always hear about how modern day athletes are better and have all this scientific knowledge on how to be perfect specimens but you can’t fight 15 rounds.

Agreed, but the superstition in me doesn't like 13 lol

No, seriously it would make it more difficult to score draws for sure

That with the weight cuts fighters are doing nowadays? Sounds like a very elevated health risk.

Cant wait for those 16 hour Saudi Arabia cards!

Jokes aside, I think it´s better for the sport with 12 rounds as it lessens the damage boxers take. What we should get rid of are the day before weigh ins.

I would. The main reason the rounds were reduced was because of TV scheduling, not fighters’s safety as some people think. There’s also the fact that 12 rounds give a higher likelihood of a draw or a close/controversial decision, which gives a higher likelihood of money grabbing rematches. It’s all about the money with boxing organisations and promoters.

Favor it strongly. The championship rounds should never have been eliminated in the first place. All the bogus justifications aside, this was done to fit fights into one hour network timeslot and it's ruined the sport. Totally unnecessary from any rational perspective!

Also not just the fight, but that means a lot more sparring to prepare for an extra 3 rounds. It’s just a lot more dangerous all round.

Undisputed fights 15 rounds. Optional for regular title fights.

Same day weigh ins for all.

Universal definitions of what is a banmed substamce, Failed drug test = 100% of purse taken.

I'll budge on most of these to get rid of a bunch of weight divisions

Or what if it was the champion advantage? Like the champion can dictate if its 12 or 15 rounds?

It would certainly change the current heavyweight scene for one. A couple of extra rounds on the Usyk v AJ fights would have seen AJ sleeped.
Usyk isn't just a boxer he is a very good athlete.
Athleticism is a hard thing to achieve, most of the greats weren't just hard hitters or highly skilled, they were athletes at the highest level.
Having said that, I think it should be left alone.

World title fights 15 rounds. Same day weigh in. Back to the eight weight classes, maybe add a195 pound cruiserweight.
