Collins wouldn`t have the power or defense to keep Gman off him.

Steve was a little bit crazy though. Real question could be whether Gman had the power to keep Collins off him.

LOL! Gman wa one of the most powerful punchers in history, Collins didn`t have much power, plus he didn`t have Benn`s head movement, are you seriously comparing Eubank to Gman? Gman was a killer, every punch he threw had the potential to end a fight he wouldn`t back off like Eubank he would have gone straight for the KO, Collins didn`t fight like Benn, he wasn`t a madman, Eubank wasn`t that good, that was just a decent fight nothing special.

Collins didn`t have Benn`s power completely different fighters.

Collins had a great chin, there is a possibility that he could out point Gerald but gun to head McClennan wins

I think it's a good fight but I lean toward the power of the GMAN. Then again, Collins was tougher than a $2 steak and if he weather's the storm, I could see him getting to him late.

Eubank floored Collins and hurt him bad, no way could Collins take all gman`s punches.

He took Benn`s and we all know how Gerald did against Nigel. Not saying your wrong Mark but to discount Collins is foolish

Although Collins had a great chin, it wasn't to the point where it was virtually undentible like the likes of Hagler, Chavez and Eubank's were. I think with G-Man by stoppage within 5 or Collins UD, I lean towards the former but wouldn't bet big on it.

Every fighter that beat McClellen had an even weaker chin than Collins.

I think this is a difficult fight to pick.

McClellan had only a relatively brief run to judge him from, & his 3 biggest wins (Jackson x2 & Mugabi) came vs. fighters that were less skilled & less sturdy than Collins.

Conversely, Collins came up short in his 3 biggest fights @ 160 (vs. McCallum, Johnson, & Kalambay), but each time he was facing a more skilled/versatile fighter than McClellan. I wouldn't be surprised if all 3 of those fighters would've beaten McClellan.

I couldn't agree more with this post. The Gman was an explosive and powerful fighter but he had his flaws. Collins didn't have his natural talent but he was a sturdy dude and performed well against bangers. It was the technicians that really gave him problems.
