What lineal heavyweight champion does Frank Bruno beat?

Big Frank beats Ali, Louis, and Liston on the same night. Let’s have it! There’s only one Frankie Bruno!

 

If late 1980s Bruno was around in the 1910s, he would be remembered as a killer in the ring. Imagine him hitting those 160 pound guys with those horse hair gloves? He probably would make Dempsey sweat. Bruno wobbled Mike Tyson and Dempsey was knocked out of the ring by Firpo, who was inferior to Bruno in all aspects.

 

Bruno choked in critical moments. In any fight, he could freeze up and lose. If Tommy Burns was hitting him at will, Frank might (MIGHT)
give up. Anyone who pushed him back could get him to take a dive. Based on skill, he'd beat most HW's before Lewis, but skills
don't pay bills in boxing; heart does.

 

Oliver McCall?

 

Can`t say Bruno was more skilled than most of tyhe heavyweight champs during the 70`s at all.

 

Did Firpo have a weaker chin than Bruno, or a poorer gas tank?

That sounds like a decent win. I have never seen that fight. Was Oliver McCall actually THERE (in mind) when Frank Bruno beat him?

 

McCall was pretty out of it. It was like Pinklon's win over Witherspoon.
The Atomic Bull tried to rally back late, but Bruno had him in that fight. Funnily enough, this was the only bout where I saw him actually figure out how to hold on, he got rocked by Oliver a couple times and stayed up.
