The July 6th fight proved it once and for all.

Tactic: Engage only when forced. Spend the whole fight concentrating on evasion. Safely and quietly cruise to a decision win...

Floyd better in every department. Had a killer instinct as Pretty Boy. Would win every round and stop Shakur.

Say what you want about Floyd but he actually would engage his opponent and force the action if he had to. Floyd is a lot tougher and just flat out better in every department. Shakur has good defense good reflexes and fast hands but he fights like a total cat and is terrified of getting hit.

Floyd was more dynamic offensively at junior ightweight, but even at 135lbs he was a much sharper counterpuncher than Stevenson.

    Floyd was also better defensively.

Mayweather was also a great watch at the lower weights when fighting guys his own size.

Oh yeah he would've blitzed this current crop of Shakur, Garcia, Lopez and Haney. The only ones who give him trouble are Tank and prime Loma would be close.

The dollar store discount version of Floyd. Shakur doesn't have it in him to reach those heights.

Agreed. Of that list, Tank is always dangerous with his power (but I'd heavily favour Floyd nonetheless) and Loma is the only one with ATG-level skills.

People walking out before the fight was over? Being booed in your own backyard?

Lolno. Pretty Boy Floyd put in some fights where he used his overall dominance to kick some ass, even if he might not avoid taking a few punches. Stevenson has yet to put in that work. To take those risks. He just wants to be crowned GOAT and we should all stfu.

In his home town, he got booed on an 11-1 victory. People were leaving during round 11 to get to the parking lot to beat the traffic. He has widely implied that TR is about to **** up by not offering him some ridiculous amount of money to re-sign, but nobody appears to be scrambling to beat Arum to the punch. Watch for him to play the race card soon.

He may very well be the most able man in the division, but I'm not gonna pay to watch him milk it. He can play out his whole career and just be a Boxrec statistic as far as I'm concerned.
