    Fantasy exercise here...

You can pick a coach for a fighter... I´m going with Jack Blackburn for Naseem Hamed lol, how about that combination ? Could Jack Blackburn make Hamed sit on his punches and be just a little more textbook ? lol

But really, Jack Blackburn could be perfect for George Foreman IMO, making young Foreman a little more educated behind his jab and not so excited when he had his guy hurt and things like that...

If Bill Miller got Buddy McGirt he’d have been even better than he was.
Thinking about it Bobo Olson was always available to fight and would’ve fit the mould and fighting attitude I think Bill would’ve enjoyed but I’m just speculating.

He built James Toney and was as I understand it was on the scene with fighters such as Ezzard Charles.

Ironically when Foreman scaled back the aggression he had a couple of tough nights. I'd pair him with Manny Steward. Steward was more than happy to have his big heavyweights coming in BIG and there would have been no dehydration rubbish during his watch which may have helped improved George's stamina and certainly would have been beneficial if anything. He would have had George fighting the best style for "George" just like he did with Klit and Lewis. He would have rounded out his game where needed. He was a master strategist and would have had top shelf gameplans in place every outing and was quick to react to how a fight was evolving. On top of this he loved some timely aggression and often told Hearns, Lewis and co to get in there and take this man out. A superb match for George IMO. Well anyone really.

I think Mike Tyson would have been great with Eddie Futch, in a scenario where he doesn't go with Cus.

Great call on Bill Miller, the man behind Lights Out. McGirt is definitely underrated.

Nacho Beristain and Oscar De LA Hoya. The Petronelli brothers or Eddie Futch with Bud Crawford. Manny Steward and Paul Williams.

Not to take anything away from Bill Miller who I rate as a top Teir teacher but George Benton would have worked out great with Toney also.
Steward with an up and coming Holmes as opposed to Ritchie G.
    Roach with GGG

I remember somebody here pairing Steward and Wilder and ngl, he wouldn't have been most likely an atg but I can see Deontay improvin' from cancrusher/gatekeeper to a more rounded and valid fighter.

I personally feel that Steward’s attempts to turn Naz into a more orthodox and classical style of fighter worked against him. Naz was at his best when he was switching all over the place, doing that slick head movement, and punching from angles no-one had heard of. He was wild but that also made him unpredictable and hard to get a read on. Ingle and his unorthodox style just seemed to work better for Naz and made him more creative imo.

Oh, I agree, you gotta respect the Fighter´s DNA, his instincts...
