Janibek at 168 might be a totally different fighter than at 160. He is killing himself to make 160 for a reason. I wouldnt pick him over any of the top guys at 168 at this point.
Good matchup. Mbilli the stronger puncher Janibek the more skilled fighter. Slightly favor Janibek as Mbilli is easy to hit with his aggressive style and Janibek is a very accurate puncher.
Someone (I can't remember who) said the jump from MW to SMW is the largest jump in boxing (excluding CW/HW). The size difference between most MWs and SMWs is enormous. SMWs are much larger than MWs, they're closer to LHWs than they are to MWs. Just because someone was successful at MW doesn't mean they will be at SMW. I'm actually thinking about it right now and modern guys there really hasn't been all that much success from MW to SMW when you really think about it.
Have to wait to see how Janibek looks at 168 and if he’s just as dangerous as he was at 160. Id favor Mbilli but it also depends on how he looks against Derevyenchenko.
