Zab was so overrated. I was at the Judah vs Mayweather fight with Michigan Warrior’s classic “Was Floyd Mayweather Floored” thread.
At 140? I'll take Zab until Tank acvtually does something more. too bad he's not willing to do anything more....
Yep if a B grade guy like Martin was able to land on Tank with regularity and mark him up imagine what a elite guy like Judah who is not only a better boxer but has lightning quick hands and devastating power would do.
Zab would be by far the best fighter Tank has ever faced. I'd favor Judah but recognize there's also a decent chance Tank is able to KO Judah. Would be a good fight.
I'm a big Zab fan and he was a beast at 140 but I just see Tank as the more complete fighter and better boxer, not to mention I think he has a higher boxing IQ than Zab with more tools in the tool box
Judah would be by the far the fastest fighter Davis has ever been in the ring with.....Judah was actually ridiculously fast with alot of talent. The issue is Judah was a bit of headcase and didn't have the concentration levels to box a well disciplined fight over 12 against an upper echelon opponent. But saying all that we haven't seen Davis at Jr Welterweight/Welterweight yet. And Judah was a bit taller with a significantly longer reach Davis is only 5'5 I'm not sure how he would do vs the bigger boys.
Not sure how you want me to respond to that. When you stuck Haney’s name alongside those two legends you mugged yourself off. You’re also basically saying Tank is in the same class as Floyd and Manny. That’s pretty funny.
This is a fascinating fight for so many reasons. Tank is a better fighter than Zab. But Zabs slightly bigger, and a Zab with a size advantage is a formidable challenge to say the least. Much of Zabs kryptonite is absent within the dynamic of fighting a smaller fighter. That being said... lets be honest, its genuinely hard to see Zab being able to go many rounds before Tank starts to land on him, and once Tank starts landing, there is no reason to believe Zab can withstand it. The most interesting question is how would Tank react to Zabs offense. However, even if Zab has success, which I expect he would, it likely just wouldnt be enough to outright stop Tank. And as Tank begins closing the gap on Zab in the middle rounds, I think Zab unravels, and gets stopped late. I think it would look similar to the Martin fight except with Zab rocking Tank multiple times and possibly scoring some knockdowns before Tank overtakes him late. Tank KO 10 Super fun matchup.
Zab is winning the poll. Somewhat baffling to me theres 8 people that think Zab can go 12 rounds with one of the hardest and most accurate punchers in the sport. I mean if you think Zab KOs Tank mid rounds, Im not going to argue with that... thats where the fascinating aspect comes into play, with Zabs offense, But to pick Zab to win by decision, with his weaknesses, against someone like Tank, I dont see that at all. Zabs defence late is lacking. And his stamina tends to fade a bit. Tank comes on stronger as the fight progresses and he begins to find his range. All of those things suggests Tank will start to find him late, and when he does, the idea Zabs going to withstand what finds him... eh, doubtful.
