Look, there are multiple people who have spoken on this. You have your opinion but there is no way in he'll lesser opponents did better against Crawford than Spence who is head and shoulders above everyone Crawford fought. It's OK to think Crawford would have won but he is not as great as you're making him out to be
***I said Bud would compete w Fab 4. I dont think any fighter in history beats all 4 at least not back to back. Bud would compete. Not sure who he could beat, if any, but those guys would know they were in a fight. And I think 2-2 is a real possibility.
yea the one you need to worry about is bruised bottom spence, his ass hit the deck so much he shouldve had sponsors on the soles of his shoes since thats all we saw. your favorite fighter is prey and will be knocked out again
Crawford probably stops both Pryor and Benitez over 15 rounds. Benitez has a better shot cause he at least can potentially outbox Crawford. Crawford should be the favorite vs both Pryor and Benitez based on resume, achievements. eye test and ability/skill.
I think highly of him too. And I’m certain that he definitely could have held his own. I also believe that it’s possible that he could have beaten them. He’s just a great fighter, with great attributes. However, through no fault of his own, he’s never fought a prime ATG. He’s never seen anybody like the ‘Fab Four’ or Floyd, Manny and Oscar. So, yes, he looks to be a great fighter. But he has a weak resume, and he’s completely unproven against elite guys in their prime. Now you have said that Terence would have stopped Pea at both weights. Again, they are two huge calls. Terence has never fought anyone as great as Pea. Nobody with that style. Nobody as elusive. Also, Pea was never stopped, and he almost beat a prime Oscar when he himself was faded. So: Your opinions aren’t really based on anything.
You say "multiple people have spoken on this" as if that's some kind of end all be all. There's also been multiple people who have said what I have. Doesn't mean much. The argument you're trying to make doesn't sense. Are you going to sit there and try to tell me that Spence did better than Postol, Benavidez, and Burns who all made it to the 12th round? Or Gamboa and Kavaliauskas who both famously hurt Bud? This is the flaw in your argument and is why you can't look at a piece of paper with names and numbers on it and base an argument off of it. You should know that STYLES make fights. Spence was durable, but that's all he had going for him. He got the worst beatdown of Bud's welterweight reign. This isn't even exclusive to Crawford.
My opinions are...opinions! Just like everybody else. Pea never fought a Bud and Bud never fought a Pea. Its all hypotheticals...I like your analysis regardless if you disagree. I am absolutely biased but I just think Bud was that cloth and Ive been watching boxing for 20+ years and he's special. I also think Inoue is special as is Usyk. We are blessed w 3 ATGs in this era who are all special.
That’s absolute fine my good man. That’s the beauty of the forum. The different opinions. I wasn’t being arrogant or argumentative. I was just noting that you have made two huge calls, despite a lack of evidence backing up your opinions. Now maybe Terence is so great, he could have beaten Pea and the entire ‘Fab Four’ But until we see him fight guys on that level, he’s simply unproven. Now it’s all conjecture. All opinions. But what is factual, is that Pea was extremely elusive, where he was never knocked out in his entire career. And he was so great and elusive, that many people think that even a faded version of him beat a prime Oscar, and when above his prime weight. So if you look at the stylistic match up, their skills and attributes and who they’ve fought etc, I think that claiming knockout victories for Terence at either weight, is just a bit much. He just hasn’t shown us anything to think that that could have been realistic.
Just adding I never said Bud beats entire Fab 4...just said he would've competed w the Fab 4. I think he is of that cloth
