He did throw some really nice combos, and do so at times still. The Mungia fight ranks highly for me with his best seen to entertainment. It's quite one-sided but Mungia really goes for it
I haven't been particularly impressed since GGG II. Possibly: Billie Joe Saunders? Many of the rest have been set-ups.
Okay, since I made this thread I've binge-watched a load of Canelo fights and here's my top 3: 1. Cotto: Really not as close as people say it was. Cotto fought bravely but was outworked and outgunned by the stronger Canelo whose defence was impetuous and whose combinations were as sharp as ever. 2. Chavez Jr: Chavez did not win a round and Canelo really beat the fight out of him. Just a 12 round clinic from Canelo against a very sturdy opponent. Pretty much a showcase fight for Canelo. 3. Sauders: Easily the best Canelo performance post GGG2 imo. He walked down and methodically broke down a slick and capable fighter in Saunders. The last round where Canelo caved in Sauder's eye and rallied the crowd gave me chills. Honourable mentions include: Angulo, Kirkland, and Fielding.
