James Toney deserves a mention. He loved fighting so much he might be the most prolific sparrer in boxing history. His defensive style might not quite fit the bill but he sure loved a scrap.

In or out Jerry was ready to fight! Norton certainly didn’t fancy a street scrap with him.

Brewster deserves mention. Knoetze was nothing but a brawler willing to exchange.

This Evander guy sounds like he's the real deal

Ali...who else had the strategy to let the opponent hit him with everything they've got and then proceed to tell them they're not sh*t as he out boxes them so badly it can't even really be considered competitive, and the opponent just happens to be George Foreman

There is no need to wait for Saturday night, because Saturday night is just a drop in the ocean:
    - Tyson Fury x3
    - Joseph Parker x2
    - Dillian Whyte x2
    - Kubrat Pulev x2
    - Oleksandr Usyk
    - Vitali Klitschko
    - David Haye
    - Robert Helenius...

Many great mentions and i'll put up Larry Holmes as well. When the going got tough, and it often did, he was up for it. I once said it may have been his greatest asset and was called out by one (permanently banned) gent who started banging on about his jab and right hand. There's been lots of fighters who could had the tools to be great but failed. If Holmes jab and right hand weren't backed up by his intestinal fortitude and determination his career would have been notably different, it's probably safe to say vastly. .

And Larry was always in top condition--especially compared to the competition around back then. And Holmes was terrific at doing his homework and pre-fight preperations. Excellant. Even after those advantages---he still had the huge edge in ringsmarts.

All things more important than punching power which most think is the be all and end all.

Joe Frazier and both Sugar Rays probably take that.

Evander Holyfield can be quoted as saying he liked to work out but did not like boxing itself. Look at him you could see that lol.
I think he got drawn into fights because he ran out of options.
Marciano was haunted by the idea of losing - Jack Dempsey was a twitchy bundle of nervous energy kill or be killed.
Joe Frazier had a few quotes to piece together his thoughts that are neat.
“I was never, ever once angry in the ring”
Work is the only meanin’ I ever knew”
“This is just another man, another fight another payday.”
“When I go out there, I have no pity on my brother. I’m out there to win
I don’t know if he enjoyed it anymore than any other professional - it’s a job not many people like their work I can’t find many quoted as saying they love to fight but I haven’t look hard.
