Nor would Sonny Liston, and George Foreman. Go figure.

No **** Tyson wins if both are 21. Floyd Patterson would beat Rocky Marciano if both were 21. It means sfa.

21 Year old heavyweight champion Floyd Patterson would get knocked out by a Rocky who hadn't even turned pro?

It's not a stretch to say Mike could catch Ali and put him away. Even at his peak he got caught and buzzed, Mike would have been the best puncher/finisher he'd ever face.

Nobody had Frazier's freaky stamina. There were guys like Marciano who could maintain a high effort and work rate for an entire fight, but Frazier seemed to get stronger, faster, and meaner as a fight went on. At one point I got interested in seeing if he did anything special in training for stamina, but nope, best I could find was that he trained stamina no differently than others of his era. He just had a genetic gift.

By all means, explain to me what grueling training regiment Ali and Foreman did to "improve" their chins.

Did they bite onto a dumbbell and lifted it?

Were they injecting PEDs into their jaws?

Was there some secret drill only a handful of boxing gurus knew about and taught them so they could take a punch better?

I know you weren't directing the question at me Swag, and I appreciate you already know the answer, but I'll respond anyway.

No, he wouldn't. Of course he wouldn't.

I wouldn’t personally favor Mike Tyson to beat Muhammad Ali. But I can see how some of his techniques and qualities might give Ali problems. Tyson was very good at slipping the jab and throwing the left along with combinations. He had very fast hands and loads of power behind them. I’m all for favoring Ali but anyone who thinks this is a cake walk with no chance for an upset is wrong.

Exactly, & make no mistake, there will be no shortage of such people. Ali himself doesn’t seem to be one of them, though. He always seemed genuinely impressed by the young Tyson, rather than cocky & dismissive - though I suspect that wouldn’t be the case if they were contemporaries.

I can see Ali taunting Tyson and using his mentality against him.

He 100% would. It was part of convincing himself he could beat someone he feared. I expect had Liston & Foreman not been rivals of his time, he’d be complimentary to them in turn.

I think Ali would come to his mind no worse than Tyrell Biggs.

Just like Ali was still a developing fighter when he fought Doug Jones and Henry Cooper.
