Both meet in the center of the ring. Who emerges as the winner and who gets carried out on his shield?

Keep in mind, Tyson never lost to someone who weighed less than him and didn't have physical advantages over him.

If you're saying Joe Frazier as he was on that given night, to the exclusion of every other night in recorded history, I'm going with Frazier.

Joe on any other night, might be a different story.

FOTC Frazier was something special, he also had what some might call "farm boy" strength, I think he was strong enough to at least not get completely handled by Tyson

Tyson never fought as deep inside as Frazier liked to get, the issue is Tyson's apex was just outside that range/space and Frazier would have to pass through

But it's not like Frazier was inept at that range, and he did alright having to box Ali in the center of the ring, Ali was better at keeping fighters from coming in than Tyson as Tyson was primarily constantly moving forward, Ali could fight off the back foot

He would be forced to start smoking early and simultaneously, almost paradoxical, Frazier would become more deadly when he is pushed like that

While both were formidable, I just don't see Frazier bringing the same intensity that Tyson would. I also don't see him being able to withstand too many shots from Tyson, especially in an infight scenario. Because of this, I think Tyson wins by TKO.

A brutal battle to the finish. I’m favoring Tyson by KO but not a forgone conclusion

I’d have to reluctantly favour Tyson. It wouldn’t be a foregone conclusion though, as with someone like Foreman or Liston. Frazier would have a chance.

I'd give Frazier a better chance to beat Liston than Tyson

    1. I don't think Iron Mike can lose to anyone smaller (of frame)than him.
    2. I think he's too physical. And he IMO has advantages vs Frazier in every facet except stamina. I even think he's more durable.

Just following up and reiterating, the question on the table is how the Frazier of March 8, 1971, would do against Tyson. In other words, his absolute pinnacle as a prize fighter.

    More heart?
    Better in-fighter?
    Greater composure?

He’s not even close to Frazier in these categories.
