I really hope the Hunter rematch isn't next. There's much better fights out there for him.

I get wanting to avenge the defeat but it was nearly 6 years ago and a win does absolutely nothing for him in terms of elevating him towards a title shot.

He'd be far better off trying to fight a contender imo, and winning that would be a big statement and a career best win.

Someone like Zhang or the loser of Dubois/Joshua would be perfect.

I just love Bakole’s style where he just plants himself in the centre of the ring like a ****ing tree and just launched bombs.

Bakole is very good but I do think AJ would beat him.

I disagree but we’ll probably never find out. Bakole is very hittable and for me Joshua’s fast hands and combination punching would take him out.

Jared was landing loads of body shots throughout the fight, I think it that’s coming from Joshua it would cause far more damage.

Good fighter but I think someone with Joshua’s size and speed would be able to deal with Bakole, especially if he boxes at range and avoids getting a bit too comfortable inside like he did in the first Ruiz fight.

Remember Joshua crumbled from being hit with medium power punches from a small fat Mexican Burger Muncher with his best win arguably Joey 12 Parker who was obliterated by Slow Joyce.

One onslaught from Bakole and Joshua would fall apart again as he has very low punch resistance, no heart and is very weak mentally.

Joshua was never near elite level in the first place and all his weaknesses remain.

Yep, fair argument. I think Joshua has matured a little in his boxing though, I think he’d box Bakole from range and that’s where Bakole would struggle a bit against a guy who sizes up well against him.

I think you also have to factor in Bakole showed zero respect got his power last night. Was happy to eat the punches. That wouldnt be the same against Joshua

I think it is 50/50 fight and whoever lands big first will win the fight.

Cannot see Joshua running away for 12 rounds without being caught by Bakole at some stage and when he does it will be curtains.

Will be interesting to see how Bakole reacts when a larger Heavyweight sticks it on him.

One thing we see all Bakole career, he is happy sitting in the pocket and exchanging.

I hope the guy gets a money fight, lots do at HW but fan wise they cash out mentally, he seems a guy that will have a go either way.

I don't think Joshua would fight Bakole in a month of Sundays.

If the Saudi Official fancies the fight - once Fury and Usyk and the other stuff settles down over the next few months - then you never know. You can bet 258 and Hearn wouldn't be chasing it though.

Just want to agree with what most people are saying, really pleased for Billy Nelson , the hours he puts in and the abuse he takes , this is his win as much as Bakoles.

Hearn has already said Bakole doesn't deserve to have a big fight against Joshua (or Fury, Usyk) yet. This is despite Joshua just having faced an old MMA guy, retired Helenius, chicken factory worker Franklin, and Otto Wallin who isn't much of a superstar, is he? On top of that Joshua boxed the likes of Molina, Breazeale, and Takam as a belt holder. Hearn doesn't want to take the risk that Bakole poses.
