One of the very few champions that retired unbeaten, yet somehow this fighter rarely gets talked about.
Any thoughts on this relatively unknown Thai champ? Exactly how good was he and does he rate anywhere close to being one of the best Thai boxers?

Nicknamed "Haunted Fist", he never fought outside Thailand. I don't know if he had problems getting a visa or he was afraid to fly. Maybe he was a ghost. I never heard of him. My Thai girlfriend, who is from the same province as Pichit, never heard his name either. He was a muay Thai gladiator as well. Maybe some of you experts in the lower weight classes can enlighten us.

He wasn't afraid to fly ... flying was afraid of him.

I've also heard that he can divide by zero, count to infinity, delete a Recycling Bin, & knows Victoria's Secret.

BTW, the dinosaurs didn't go extinct b/c of a meteor ... one of them just made the mistake of giving Pichit a dirty look.

I’ve never heard of him, never seen him fight, don’t think off the top of my head I recognise any names he fought. Consider it unexplored territory I’ll take a look at him.

The birth of a legend. Pichit overwhelms defending titleholder Rodolfo Blanco:

Another scintillating performance. Pichit looks like the 2nd coming of SRR combined w/ Duran mixed w/ Whitaker sauteed in Pep & stir fried w/ Saddler.

Pichit raised some eyebrows with his emphatic win over Columbia´s Rodolfo Blanco.

Blanco had impressed in losing a dodgy decision in Ireland to Dave McCauley (Irelands answer to Danny Lopez) where he dropped the champion 4 times (Blanco also got dropped). Great fight.

He won the return in Spain where oddly enough McCauley didn´t get dropped!

Pichit looked great in his first 3 defenses but then seemed to struggle with USA´s undefeated (8-0) Arthur Johnson who cried robbery and then a split decision win over relatively unknown Jose Luis Zepeda.

Never defended his World crown again, had 3 more fights over the next 6 years.

Pichit was a fun fighter to watch but was lucky didn´t get to face any really quality opponents. Decent fighter but nowhere near the Galaxy twins level.

He's underrated. 3-0 versus ranked guys. Alphabet champ who was never (to my knowledge) on western tv is the reason why.

Lost opportunity. If he had traveled abroad, he could have gone by Pichit “The Thai Leprechaun” Sithbanprachan.

Defend the title in Ireland and come to the ring to “Danny Boy.”

If I remember correctly, this guys younger brother was also a world champion. He won his championship against a Japanese fighter.

Edit: Pichit Chor Siriwat. He beat Keiji Yamaguchi at 108lbs (WBA), per AsainBoxing.

He had to give up shadowboxing because his shadow took such a beating the referee stopped it.

He was so impressive during that time that Inoue ducked him by refusing to come out of his mother's womb.

Came across his fight against Jose Luis Zepeda and this is a really great scrap. Pichit was a very aggressive fighter, fun to watch. However, Zepeda was able to hold his own enough to make this a very close contest. Pichit barely scraped it by Split Decision in his hometown. Still an awesome Flyweight fight.

So there’s a bit of confusion here. I just stumbled upon another fight that’s titled Pichit Sithbangprachan vs Jose Luis Zepeda even though these two only fought once. This particular fight also has a Thai fighter against a Mexican fighter and this is an even more wild slugfest from start to finish. This one goes the distance too but it is an incredible brutal battle.

From what I’ve read Pichit only had one very tough fight that ended in SD. Either this fight or the previous fight I posted is the actual Pichit Sithbanprachan vs Jose Luis Zepeda fight and the other is a totally different Thai fighter. If someone can point out which fight is which I would appreciate it.

Check both fights out if you can, very worth watching.

Like seeing two different versions of him fighting at the same time. He was called the Haunted Fist for a reason.
