Come on man, I know hating on Shakur is currently en vogue but he didn't scrape past EDLS or Artem. He beat them very comfortably (boring or otherwise). And it's not his choice who people compare him to anyway, Idk how that's a criticism of him. A fight is a fight but Berynchik is the least likely loss for Shakur when speaking of fights like Tank, Loma, Zepeda, Muratalla and so on. Berynchik himself is with Top Rank who Shakur just left, no?
He didn't dominate either and he's showing a lot of things that could be exploited especially if he moved to 140lbs, I think he'd only have mixed success at world level in that weight class. I don't see how I've 'hated on' him by stating the obvious that he's not close to a prime Mayweather's level and that he's doing a crap job of managing his career.
I also thought his fight with EDLS was close. If he came up against a decent 140lbs pressure fighter I'd probably expect him to lose.
Surely after vetting all of the available hustlers over the past few weeks, he could have done better than Cordina, a recent lo loser! SS is drooled over by most of the American podcasts, as being unbeatable. Chuck it on the equally unacceptable Berlanga undercard and boycott this dross!
I didn't say he dominated, but he beat them comfortably. In both fights his biggest opponent seems to have been himself but he really didn't scrape through. Unless I really misunderstood that term (Sorry, English is my 3rd language). I also wouldn't make any comparison with fighters who've had their entire careers. At 27 Floyd was also at LW and he fought (with varying success) against Castillo x2, Soriano, Ndou and I believe earlier he had beaten Augustus at 135lbs. Those are all his 5 fights at the weight class. It's certainly not Pernell Whittaker or Benny Leonard's ledger at that weight class, and it's not something impossible to surpass (4 clear wins and 1 questionable one). IF Shakur can get fights against Loma, Tank, Zepeda, Muratalla, Cruz then he has the opportunity to surpass Floyd at that weight class, granted he wins. But I really see no comparison between the two and I've not equated them at all.
De Los Santos is a decent boxer tho. Holds a win over Jose Valenzuela who recently schooled Isaac Cruz.
If English is indeed your third language, your ability to express/convey thoughts in it is quite impressive.
De Los Santos is decent but he wasn't the cream of the crop at 135 and for a guy who was on P4P lists at the time, Shakur struggled far more than he should have against a solid, respectable, but unspectacular contender.
Hopefully Cordina will look revitalized not killing himself to make weight and spark this cowardly fraud out cold. This content is protected
Beat Ogawa who was ranked 7th and Rakhimov who was ranked 3. But tell me again how he's never beaten a top 10er.
Using boxrec as your go to ranking just lost you all credibility, they have Boots and Zepeda above Usyk P4P. 36 year old Kenchi is boxrec #36, he's 36 now he was 33 when he lost to Cordina, rankings change or do I need to reeducate you on the changing of rankings? You presume I like Stevenson without actually knowing whether or not I do or if I'm just debunking the rubbish you spout. Yes he was KOd but he was also brutally sucker punched in that fight and Cacace should have been DQd and no he shouldn't be getting the Stevenson fight, in fact Stevenson should grow a sack and fight a legit contender, Zepeda would have been just fine.
As a Shakur fan on here (one of the only), if he's not fighting Tank, Loma, Martin, Muratalla, Navarete or Zepeda I don't really have much interest in his next fight. He's not even fighting a LW here and someone coming off a loss.
