Reckons his speed remains, but he has put on kilo's and kilo's of weight to increase power. "Bulked-up Parker set to throw his weight around in next fight"- https://www.1news.co.nz/2024/08/22/bulked-up-parker-set-to-throw-his-weight-around-in-next-fight/
If true... Interesting. If it harms his speed and stamina... Well, it could go downhill faster than you can say "Joe Joyce"
Why? Parkers star has shone brighter recently at 245 -247 pounds, if it ain't broken then why try to mend it.
I don't get this persistent desire for heavyweights to think bigger is better, he was in better shape in his recent performances, being bigger didn't help him against Joyce. If anything this makes me more concerned, boxing is boxing not bodybuilding or strongman.
I don’t think the added bulk will hurt, so long as it’s done right and he retains most of his speed and movement. He’s 6’4”. Plenty of area for that weight to spread.
