What hapens if there is a tie score after the four rounds? How do they chose who advances to the next round or in the gold medal match who wins?

I think they count every time any of the judges has pressed the button for either fighter and the highes total wins not 100% sure tho.

    Something like that.

There was a bout from a few days ago that ended up even after four rounds, and if I'm not mistaken, I think I can recall the announcers stating that, to break the tie, the high & low scores of each fighter from the individual judges are thrown out, and the other three judges' scores are averaged (or totaled) together to find the winner.

correct! Total punches counted then high and low judge taken out. In case still tie, which has happened, they go to paper scores from additional 3 judges sitting at ringside.

Let's face it, the scoring is criminal!
