Did Doheny really deserve this fight?

Have it 5-0 Inoue but Doheny is doing much better than I expected

 

Round 5

Inoue is starting to put together combinations on the body in pursuit, reaching around with a couple of good hard smacks on the liver as Doheny backs into the ropes. Inoue feigns a left hook up top and instead hits Doheny downstairs with the right. Doheny kept mostly in retreat and pawing a right jab into the air in front of Inoue, but does get in a nice two-piece just before the bell, a right hook and left.

Rooting for the Irish here. Inoue a beast but he seems to be lacking a bit of urgency. Maybe he wants rounds and still adjusting to 122

 

Well they've been building up the fight for a while, Doheny's been on a few Inoue undercards and is a fan favourite foreign fighter in Japan. He's also beaten a few good contenders lately so he's worthy of a big fight although perhaps not undisputed.

 

Nakatani finishes Inoue at any weight he wants.

Round 6

Inoue and Doheny are taking turns with rear hand straights on the body. Doheny tries walking Inoue onto a right hook but the champion sees his trap and doesn't fall prey. Inoue starting to repeat combinations in quick succession, punching fluidly, one combo starting on the heels of the last as Doheny shells up in a corner and tries deflecting with his winged elbows.
