Crawford vs Trinidad

Trinidad wins.

 

Who comes up with these comparisons ? Tito Trinidad never lost a fight as a welterweight... He moved up to the middleweights to lose to Bernard Hopkins then to Winkey Wright (not sure I spelled correctly ) who was fighting as Jr. Middleweight and Middleweight... Trinidad was a really good boxer with power on both hands.... Crawford who ? Crawford, Spence, Teofimo, Lomachenko with less than 30 professional fights.. Give them time, please.

 

Not only size but jab moment chin and power, Tito won't respect his power and will just go for the kill.

I don’t think Crawford has fought enough guys to say he is better than Oscar

 

I have not seen enough of Tito but I agree that no one recently can hang with ODLH or Mosley. They were too big, fast and strong in their prime for even floyd and pac.

 

Crawford will outbox him easily like Winky did, it's a 9:3 type of fight in my opinion. Winky beat Tito 12:0 and Tito had no clue what to do with his southpaw stance, Crawford will be southpaw for 12 rounds in this fight

 

I don't think it would be a walk in the park for Trinidad. It is true that Crawford never faced anyone of his caliber, but Tito did not really shine against guys who were technically complex to the level Crawford is. I do think it is fair to refer to the Winky Wright fight here, although that was past Tito's prime, but still. I think on the scorecards this would be a close flight with probably one or two knockdowns swinging it into Tito's favour (or Tito puts on a good finish and stops Crawford when finally catching him). I will be honest, after the Vargas beatdown and the interveiws Fernando gave I had my reservations about Tito's gloves (I know this is a can of worms but still). Even punches which seemed small had devastating impact. It is possible he had THAT kind of power, which we have not seen since him, but still...

 

Winky was past his prime as well. He is bigger than Bud and has a better jab but Bud also has a great southpaw jab and has better offense than Winky. When Bud faces big punchers he is cautious and smart. I think Tito can knock orthodox Bud (and Floyd) out but if Bud fights southpaw 12 disciplined rounds he will beat him because Tito was much less effective against southpaw technicians

 

I think Crawford would win on points in a close fight. If Crawford can dominate a P4P star in Spence then I think Crawford would have enough skill to outpoint Trinidad. Its a hard one though, Trinidad was very good at welterweight rather than at middleweight, but also so was Crawford.

Spence still beat some very good fighters in Garcia and Ugas even after the crash and if Crawford can also dominate Ennis, Charlo and Vergil then I'd be more confident in Crawford's chances against Trinidad.
