Rank top 10 HW of 90s in order by

    A) Accomplishments
    B) H2H (the best versions of the fighters in 90s only - you can't put 1988 version of Tyson, 1978-82 version of Holmes, 1973 version of Foreman, 2007-2012 version of Wlad etc. ONLY 90s versions)

I think we've got a clear top 6 group that everyone would agree on with Lennox, Bowe, Moorer, Holy, Foreman and Tyson.

So the big question is who are the last 4? Most of us would have Golota cause of the Bowe fights so now we need 3.

I'll pick B, and I'll say that everyone on the following list will be at their absolute peak- That includes men like Douglas.
    1a. Mike Tyson (Ruddock I)
    1b. Lennox Lewis (Golota fight)
    3. Evander Holyfield (Bowe II)
    4. Riddick Bowe (Holyfield I)
    5. George Foreman (Holyfield fight)
    6. James Douglas (Tyson fight)
    7. Michael Moorer (Foreman fight)
    8. Ray Mercer (Lewis fight)
    9. Oliver McCall (Lewis fight)
    10. Andrew Golota (Bowe II)
I think that Foreman - Tyson would be an outlier here, as George likely wins that encounter, but otherwise, every fighter should be able to beat everyone below them. I also couldn't really decide on a concrete statement on Tyson - Lewis, so I just figured I'd make the top 1a and 1b.

Why Foreman? He got shut out by Tommy Morrison, was gifted against Axel Schulz, lucky to get the win over Alex Stewart, and he won the title over over one of the worst HW champions of all time, then ducked anyone who was dangerous. Did Foreman do anything as impressive as Holmes win over Mercer? Mercer would have beaten Foreman by easy UD

45 year old Foreman beating Tyson is asinine. old foreman got shut out by glass jaw crude Morrison, and beaten to a pulp by Alex Stewart (whom Tyson eviscerated in 1 round). He never fought a puncher in his comeback with 1/10th the power and speed of Tyson. Tyson took ruddock bombs and blasted out a 40 year old Holmes. He would kill an ancient fighter like foreman.

love 70s foreman, but 90s foreman is easily becoming one of the most overrated fighters on this forum

Mercer lost to journeyman Jesse Ferguson, got a draw vs another journeyman Marion Wilson, and you're so sure Mercer beats Foreman ? i mean i could see a motivated Mercer giving Foreman a good go it depends on the timeline. Mercer between 95-96 was in pretty good form in fights vs Holyfield, Lewis, so that would be the best opportunity for Mercer to beat Foreman. But then between 92-94 Mercer was pretty awful getting schooled by Holmes and then struggling in numerous fights vs journeyman fighters.

But to say Mercer beats Foreman by "easy UD" is a big stretch.

Morrison had to run from Foreman all night to get a decent decision, and had the best showing in his entire career on that night alone, I think that tells you enough. Stewart also showed considerable heart in his fight with Foreman and boxed a lot better than he did otherwise- But that's besides the point.
Foreman faced Morrison (Who Pinklon Thomas rated a better puncher than any other man he fought, that includes Tyson), Stewart, Holyfield, Briggs, Moorer, Cooney, and Cooper, all men with damn good power. If you can't see that, you're just biased.
Tyson took Ruddock's punch, yes, but you also have to keep in mind that that was pretty much all Donovan had. He had his left hook smash, his right cross tomahawk (Yes, that's what he called it), and clinched otherwise, he was no phenomenal fighter- And he flat out didn't have the power of Foreman, nor the jab, nor the defense, nor anything else. Is "blasted" REALLY the word you wanna use for what he did against Holmes? An off the couch and past it Larry nullified his defense for three rounds before Mike was able to finish him, and you think that's a feat that makes it obvious that he'd destroy George?

Lots of excuses….Morrison fight of his life, Stewart leaving his heart at home when he fought Tyson yada yada…

all those men you listed don’t even come close to Tyson in power skill speed…not to mention most of them either beat foreman, kicked the crap out of his face, or got utterly destroyed easily by Tyson..

old slow men who take punches are made to order for Tyson. And If he doesn’t knock him out…he will easily win a unanimous decision on work rate alone.

Foremans SOS in his comback was far better than Holmes. He beat Michael Moorer and actually did better than Holmes on the scorecards against Holyfield despite giving away rounds.

Foreman was trying to tire Morrison out. It was a shutout but as forgiveable as shutouts come. The Moorer fight would have been a lopsided loss too if he didn't get him.

If Tyson can't knock down old Foreman early how exactly does Tyson win that fight?

Briggs, Savarese and Grimsley were big power punchers. Foreman went the distance with all 3 was not knocked down.

How about Tyson outpoints foreman with EASE

not to mention Tyson is on another planet in terms of punching ability than any puncher foreman ever fought. Savarese? Really? The guy Tyson bombed out in 37 seconds with that
poor ref prying Tyson off him. Grimsley? Jesus

Briggs doesn’t have 1/100th of the handspeed, accuracy, and finishing ability of Tyson. Glad you didn’t mention Alex Stewart  ..you know the guy Tyson mopped the floor with in 1, while he turned Foreman’s face into raw hamburger

Tyson has more than enough power speed and skill to put foreman on his ass.
