Watched Patterson vs Johansson 2 recently. He threw a flying left hook and ended up BEHIND him and then continued to make a vicious string of punches. Been thinking about that punch for a few hours now, absolutely insane.

Left hook to the body. Nothing better than ripping a left to the body on a heavy bag. It was my favorite punch when I fought and I get a lot of satisfaction seeing it in fights.

I mean more like a specific punch thrown by a boxer. Not a category ot type of punch.

Julian Jackson’s right against Herol Graham. Like a bomb exploding. Also Frankie Randall’s right against Chavez. Didn’t knock him out but beautiful. So many more but these two came to mind first.

Well, in that case, take your pick for best left hooks to the body. JCC, Ward, McCallum and Cotto come to mind. Ward's left hook to the body against Sanchez is about as good as it gets.

I used to like jumping left hook like Frazier only to know that it's useless in real fighting.

Right uppercut and left jab are my favorite weapons.

    The Exorcist Punch.

Spins a guy’s head around 360 degrees when it lands.

Generic pick, but Marciano's right hand that knocked out Walcott in their first encounter

Deep dive pick for honorable mention: That jab Larry Holmes knocked Ossie Ocasio down with.

It didn’t just topple him from being off-balance, OO walked into it and went down on his back like he’d been blasted with a 12-gauge shotgun. Thing of beauty.

    Fast-forward to 4:10.

Nice! Impressive display by Holmes! And Ocasio wasn't a bad fighter, 23 years old, 13-0, coming off of two wins over Jimmy Young. Four knockdowns, the jab 1X, the right hand 2X, and then finished him with the hook. He couldn't have executed those punches much better if he had just been shadow boxing.

This and Walcott's KO of Charles, for me.

Not as famous or significant, but I'm also partial to Sergio Martinez's KO of Paul Williams.

Chavez's overhand right that famously dropped Meldrick Taylor. I believe the stoppage was premature, but that punch was picture perfect: thrown with pinpoint precision and landed right on Taylor's chin. Really shows how great Julio was to be able to throw such a beautiful punch after 11 and 3/4 rounds of constant work and being outboxed.
