On saturday Canelo will be back in action, but unfortunately against a quite mediocre opponent: Berlanga really hasn't much of a chance of winnig Recently the Mexican's career has unfortunately taken this turn., as analyzed in this new italian site https://boxepunch.com/en/top-en/poi...es-of-canelo-from-young-lion-to-fearful-king/ Here the prediction about the outcome https://boxepunch.com/en/columns/fight-of-the-week-en/saul-canelo-alvarez-vs-edgar-berlanga-2/
Doesn't really matter what anyone says this is a really good fight. Predicting a Berlanga win would quite brave but such a win wouldn't surprise me at all, it's just boxing isn't it. So, we have people complaining about a good fight being made, maybe they should find another sport.
What happened to Canelo was copying Floyds escapades. He took over the mantle from Floyd. He now had the protection of the Vegas officials to make sure he never lost a decision,The NSAC to turn a blind eye to his Ped's abuse plus USADA to cover up his suspect test results. He was cherry picking his opponent even then the vegas judges gave him a win overLara he did not deserve. Two decisions against GGG a draw & a bogus win he did not deserve. Castillo & Maidana both beat Floyd too BUT he really screwed up when he challenged BIVOL/ He pranced around wearing a crown claiming he was "The King of Boxing & could never be beaten" WRONG!!! Dmitry beat him like a drum, Like my old trainer used to say "Beat the bejabbers out of him" Dmitry took his soul when he exposed him & even his judges couldnt stretch it to a draw So now he is just looking for easy pay days with no risks Hes just trying to cash out, I hope Berlanga does a BIvol on him & KO's him
Someone sounds a little bit hurt. So basically what Canelo has been trying to achieve is the same as all of us, create wealth for his family, create money to pay his brothers ransom etc, what's wrong with that?
I reached out to Colombian boxer Roamer Alexis Angulo, who fought against Berlanga in June 2022, losing on points. I asked him for his opinions about the qualities of the "Chosen One" and for a prediction for the fight. Here are his answers: https://boxepunch.com/en/top-en/ext...this-fight-wont-last-until-the-seventh-round/
This is one of those fights that will hopefully age well with Canelo provided Berlanga can pick up a few good wins maybe a belt later in his career. I think it’s just like fighting Diego Pacheco or Mbilli honestly
